Couldn't agree more with all points, titan. I think we are still well in the game if we get back to what makes us a good side, but we need to stop allowing teams to do what they want and make sure they earn every kick. We nailed them with big tackles and ferocious pressure early, and then just dropped right off. When we were up and about they couldn't get near us. Let's hope the break, and a possible bake, do the trick.

You're in fine form today, dazzle. We're two quarters into a new season and you've already burst a few blood vessels.

For how poor that second quarter was, outside of the last 5 minutes or so, we're still just 3 points down. There is an absolute bucketload of improvement still to come from a variety of players, and a bake from Goody will surely rev them up a little. Their transition from defence has been terrific we we've generally had no answer for it. We will need to find that answer quickly, otherwise we will find ourselves in a hole we can't dig ourselves out of. Salem has been excellent across half back, Fritsch is an absolute gun and Melksham is such a good player. We need Viney to life, Trac to get involved and to fire up as a whole for the second half.

He has certainly shown that he could play more senior footy, and good senior footy, for us this year.

I don't think it has anything to do with speed, dazzle. It's more to do with workrate. Lots of commentary around how we're coming off stuffed, while Port come off looking fresh and ready to roll. At the moment we don't have the legs to run with them, speed or not. That's a worrying sign.

That was coming. Big 8 minutes ahead, especially for our leaders. Whose going to stand up and right the ship?

Their run through the middle is troubling us at the moment, and they're getting first hands on the ball when it hits the deck. We need to be working a little harder.

I'm also liking what Sparrow has brought to the game so far. I was one of many saying he looked a fair way off in the JLT series, but he's certainly stepped up so far here. Good goal to Fritta. We needed that steadier.

No doubt we are struggling a little at the moment. A few of our guys, namely Viney, Gawn and Petracca need to impose themselves on the contest a little more.

He was stiff, though. Ball was called out on the full and then he paid the push in the back.

That was pathetic defensive work from O Mac then. Westhoff should never have marked that.

Yep, he's actually been really good out on the wing.

Tough final five minutes to the term, but we held them relatively well, even if we had a little luck to go with it. Midfield has been really good so far and I've liked the work of McDonald and Weideman up forward. Hopefully those last five minutes were nothing more than a blip on the radar.
