You're what's known as the club "apologist", step back, be prepared to have an objective view. There's no point talking to you, you are a mouthpiece for those that occupy the space, at the moment. When they are gone you will just switch your allegiance to the replacements, it probably makes you feel important to know a few of the committee and the football staff and the players. You were always a "name dropper" when you did your training reports and I guess this makes you feel important, whatever floats your boat.

If you're referring to me as the newly arrived, do-gooder football supporter then you've gone off the rails. I've been a supporter all my life and attended the 1960 and 1964 Grand Final wins. Yourself? Also, who said the football club had the best culture for 40 years? Pert? He would say that, wouldn't he.

There are probably quite a few posters on here that don't trust Pert. Any employee of a football club that isn't trusted by a lot of the club's supporters should have trouble sleeping.

I find it hilarious that you are satisfied with the club doing a review of itself and actually thinking that is working.

So, you're happy the way things are at the club? You're happy that one of the best players we've ever had at the club, has expressed a desire to leave, because of the poor culture of the club? You're happy that we are continually displayed in the press as having a poor culture and this frightens potential recruits coming to the club? You don't think that by bringing this to the fore will help clear up these matters and make us a more respected club? No of course you don't, because you are happy with the status quo, watching us go through the same [censored] year after year, at the start of every season. I'd rather get this out of the way so we wouldn't have to start every season on the back foot.

No wonder someone wanted to shake up the board, maybe that someone knew something that we didn’t.

I agree and will be renewing my memberships, as I always do. I can only hope that things change around the club and the President and CEO realise that the natives are restless and will not put up with the [censored] we have been.

We may, but that doesn't necessarily mean that either are right, they could both be wrong but for different reasons.

We've picked up a few Saints discards over the last few years and none of them have proven to be of value.

If you know where to look then by all means do it. No need for you to open every thread associated with this matter. Maybe on the one you choose you can give the rest of us the Board's view, you seem to be pretty close to them.

That is probably the most puerile post I've read on here. Can't you just accept that the board and in particular the President have dropped the ball on this issue? I'm beginning to think you are blind to any problems that the club and in particular the President has. We need a review of the club and Alan Jackson would be the ideal man to do it. For one thing we need to stop the process of the Board making it impossible for anyone other than their mates getting on to the Board. I understand that Peter Lawrence won't be the man to break the cycle but he's the one who's shown us that we need it.

Why are you so against a review? What do you think it might reveal? if there are no problems then at least we will have shown transparency

You know that for a fact do you? Which part of the club’s constitution says that?

I was upfront with my saying I was a friend and also that I advised him against going again. What about you, what if any connections do you have with the board? Why would the board deprive the club of any donations and player sponsorships? Peter doesn’t have an axe to grind, he was only asking for fair and unbiased elections, which we don’t have. You got that?
