The Clayton Oliver Thread
Exactly. For years we have heard players complaining about where they want to play, Brayshaw included. The coach steers the ship now, not the players.

Rumours
Extremely smug and swarmy, craps on about having loser mentality, however if you read in to what he says, he/they are nothing but sore losers.

Tim Lamb Trade Update
I do think this should be Tim Lambs last trade period, some of the things he has done (and hasn't done) has been an absolute failure on the club. Get on the lookout for the next best list manager we can find as part of the clean out.

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
Regardless, I think rebound is out the window for 2026.

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
Rebound was the plan, before we lost May, Oliver, Petracca and McVee. We aren’t going to rebound now, mini rebuild it is

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
Unsure if this is a good get or not.... We shall see. 33yo before next season, peak past him, 192cm, but can lead. If we were in a window, sure, but think we've set our sights low here. We can top up his superannuation I suppose.

Assistant Coaches
Don't think we can afford to lose Chaplin right now tbh, if that's true.

2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen
Needs to work on forward craft, needs to work on playing in front, leading and a big emphasis on actually marking, ball bounces off his hands a lot more than it should. Seems better in the ruck than the forward line. A big 2026 for JVR.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
And there it all was, in 2017, more about himself than team success. A lot of talk and what now looks like self centred perhaps. Thanks for helping win the flag, but seeya Christian.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
I applaud the club and new regime for their honesty, clearly we all seen the Goodwin and his favourites mantra and now many of those same boys club are feeling the heat as they arent comfy anymore. This is the circuit breaker we needed, as Goodwin couldn't deliver it, don't get me wrong, it would be hard to part with the crew that brought the ultimate success but you just have to break it all down with a clear mind. May is well and truly cooked, he can barely bend over and he isn't getting back to his best. Also, it is pretty obvious for all the good he brought, that he is toxic and a troublemaker off the field, this isn't good for our culture. Petracca is a shell of his former self, it seems to be a bit of all about Christian, perhaps a taste of business success outside of footy has brought this on. 30yo, pulling out of contests and how could anyone forgive him for his dragging the club through mud last year as well. I also don't think he lived up to his own expectations and standards this year, was surprised he finished R/U in the BnF. Oliver. hasn't been himself on or off field for years, thought his last game was great, but he is a headache for the club in more ways than one & I won't go into it further. Spargo - meh, 25 games in 3yrs? Doesn't get enough of it as a mid, doesn't kick enough goals as a forward, no mans land. McVee I think stitched the club over with not being honest from the get-go, he was going back to WA over a year ago I'm told. Bring on the fresh start and clean out of people who don't want to get their hands dirty and lift the club up. Hawks survived without Franklin, then Hodge and Lewis. All will be OK in the end, patience will be required. 2021 was 4yrs ago, stop referring to it, we aren't that team anymore, cherish it by all means but we need to move forward as a club before we do actually implode.

Welcome to Demonland: Steven King
More so for him finding his feet, list changes etc. I agree that there isnt too many new ways to play the game, it all has the same core. Thanks Demonstone, misinformation everywhere, he was captain for 4 yrs 2003-2006.

Re King, I think it's important for everyone as a whole not to expect a rebound or too much in 2026. May be wise to expect more in 2027. Patience while he settles in would be appreciated.
