NON-MFC: Round 08
Can I please take this prediction back?

Admire your level of confidence. For the most part it has been the same with me for the last three years. But the last two games have given me reason for pause. Even if we play well I wouldn't be surprised if we lost this. It's not unreasonable since they are undefeated. It's our last two games that have me unnerved. That said if we do manage to beat the Cats it's a huge boost to our confidence and chances towards a flag. If we can recapture and bring the same to level of intensity and commitment we took to Adelaide we could very well do it.

NON-MFC: Round 08
Coz Gws usually pants Sydney and the Swan's fans are the biggest fair weather supporters about. But I'm expecting a Sydney win today.

Gendered domestic violence issues.
It's important to mention too that DV has a huge impact upon children. I'm sure that there are many posters here that have been impacted by one or more of their parents behaviour towards each other. There will be those who object to footy being an area of entertainment escapism that is used to shed light on this. But this is too big of an issue that it's a small price to pay. We simply must do as much as possible to stop all this. Tx for sharing peeps.

Oh dear this is a big game. That confidence I had of yesteryear is slowly diminishing. If we win this it will be back in time for the blues game. Come on Petty remind us why were worried about you being poached. And Jvr we give you the roo chant so can you please clunk a few more. A must win game for genuine flag contention. Us by 5.

Weeks Spent at the Top & Bottom of the Ladder Since 2000
The advantage hits home in my above post that stipulates despite their double decade dominating of top spot they have two flags. This smacks of a team being propped up by a drastic home advantage to see them fade away without it come finals time and against teams that were actually better. Does the same apply to Ports home advantage with only one flag?

Aside from the Cats Outlier we are pretty much bang in the middle. Interesting because prior to 21 we were at a grand sum of 3. How bad things really were. The cats anomaly is interesting. Firstly it's interest stems from the enjoyment it didn't correlate to cup wins. Second it's obviously due to some external fact.... Oh, now I remember ...how about soft fixtures and a decent number of games at the stadium from hell? On reflection, Port are the same.

PREGAME: Rd 08 vs Geelong
I thoroughly believe had Gus stayed in the game or been replaced by an equal sub ( not Laurie) we would have won that game. Or with Melksham not injured the game prior or Bbb injured too or Petty. It was a nightmare of fwd injuries. So it's hard to say that our makeshift fwd line did well with the poor inside 50 entries or not. And yea the entries were not great. As mentioned earlier some easy shots were missed. But we were very unlucky. Not that you can really call Maynard's act a luck element.
