  1. Kayo needs to get their countdown clock in sync.
  2. Yea sure it's rainy and hence slippery but maybe all our night games in dewey conditions may serve us well.
  3. At least you didn't say goats. Have I gone too far again?
  4. Who is the young Gary Lion look a like on the fox/ kayo pregame blurb?
  5. I'd prefer dry conditions but I still think we have this.
  6. Funny, I just right now watched Oppenheimer. Fritta's hair and cockroaches. I wonder if it's five inches in length is included in Fritta's official height?
  7. You sound quite important. Another testament to the superiority of Demon supporters.
  8. Who schedules work meetings at nine pm?
  9. I have images of the Beverly hillbillies v the Munsters v The major born.
  10. Fair call RL. Wise words. I'll keep my views on this to myself going forward. Enjoy the evening and hopefully the win.
  11. Absolutely Roost it far. The big picture is smacking the pies and tearing them a new one come June. And then the grand final..... It's just a must do. So we need as much form and momentum as we can get. Gotta go in there tonight and take no prisoners. At the end of the day I forget. This whole season is about beating the filth and then facing them in a granny where one could argue that we want to see a few bumps back on the day and the pies beaten like never before. Then again I'm not much of a fan of Carlton so tonights win will be enjoyable too.
  12. You must be having a laugh. How could Biden not know what day it was? He may have some cognitive decline but he's eighty. Trump has it too as we've seen. But to suggest he doesn't know what day it was is pretty extreme. I mean unless you were his personal physician you wouldn't be able to make that call. That trope is as political as anything else out there. Maybe your right and Biden is mentally unfit for office. I mean he's bloody old when I consider what he has to do . But so is trump so I think we should rule them both out on age alone. The big takeaway for me is Trumps sheer and blatant LIES about the election being stolen. Trump has thousands upon thousands of times said the election was rigged. And yet not once has he or his dubious subordinates have been able to present a scintilla of evidence to support this claim. Your an educated and smart guy from what I can deduce from your posts. Don't you agree that's it's a lie. A big one told over and over. Lie Hitlers playbook....to just keep telling the lie. I mean even before he won the 2016 election against Clinton he was on record numerous times saying without it evening happening yet that the election would be rigged. Surprisingly he won this election 2016 that he called rigged. Again before the event took place. So no surprise for him to say the same in 2020. Despite him tweeting again again the stolen claim it doesn't change the truth and facts. Now one could argue that's just Trump being political. But there was a price to pay for that lie. Thousands of drool ready believers of trump with just his say so marched on the Capitol. Law officers died as a result. People chanted for the Vice President to be hung while members of the house on both sides cowered on the basement. Now aside from the deaths of law enforcement from just doing their jobs, one of the greatest democratic states died that day. For centuries other than Lincolns assisnation, the USA has been a beacon of peaceful elections and relatively smooth transitions of power/ governments. Until DJT lied about results before he was elected and than lied about them when he lost. So one man's pride and ego cost not only the lives of people but mortgaged a great democracy of the ages forever. Biden may or may not be fit for office. I get that. But Trump is excluded on a much bigger basis. He is literally guilty of black and white.... Treason . In the height of the cold war in the USA a husband and wife were sentenced to death row for giving the Soviets info about the USA atomic program. Trumps crimes are on par with such behavior. It's not a question if he's fit for anything it's a matter of him needing to be imprisoned/executed for destroying the America's political system, the faith in it, the lives lost and the esteem the USA has lost around the world.
  13. "A tale of two heads" "A passage to Jolimont" Or my favorite " Catch 25"
  14. It may be political at times and others legal but one thing is for sure Mr R. Leg.... USA politics is back to being juicy again. Just like the old days with Clinton and Monica 😁
  15. Thanks , I've got some bourbon in reserve for that.
  16. Interesting changes. Yours is a fair call. Salo is a big out but it's not like we don't have him covered. But Smith was/ is underated as a forward for me. Other than that, tonight is a much better team. Carlton were so lucky in Milk going down, Jvr removing himself and Tmac injured and at the wrong end of the ground. And poor Viney played one of his best finals ever to the point of exhaustion that he didn't have enough left to extend that last kick. Not to mention of course losing a premier player in Gus and the possible resulting low morale. We lost that final by poor fwd entries and a couple of iffy last minute decisions. But make no mistake, mostly due to injuries, suspension and Maynard.
  17. Curnow and McKay combine for a 47 goal tally. Fritta and Kozzy have 33( Fritta with 21 so not far off Curnow) l know we have the best defense in the land but it will be tested tonight. And it's fair to say at least one of our talls needs to step up tonight and hit the scoreboard. It's a coin flip how they will go goal wise. Turner a two time fwd was without a goal v cats as was Jvr. The latter only scoring Two goals from his last Three outings is slim pickings for him. He's even been missing shots he normally buries. Petty worse in this area but if last week doesn't give confidence that this will change then nothing will. Carlton's forward line is going to score despite our three horsemen down back, so our talls must do some damage. We know that Jvr and Petty can, so I'm hoping they will with at least two goals a piece. Disco the wild card and perhaps Chin and Nibbler helping Kozzie out given that our talls have certainly been getting the ball to ground.
  18. I feel more confident having Woey as the sub. Ironically was one his best games last week. But now we have the sort of sub that really can come on for the final 30 and actually have a solid impact. If Bowey manages to play well and run out the whole game, l would not be surprised to see SoSW play up forward with one or two sausage rolls.
  19. Afl doing sfa to curb pressure on inflation and interest rates. Play on. One beer a quarter and you've spent enough to buy a slab. Sheesh.
  20. I won't forget this one. This bloke could kick a goal inside a matchbook. Quite a similar goal to his last against cats.
  21. I thought you may have been around in 75 Uncle. I guess a mishap every 100 odd years isn't too bad. I suppose it's pretty good. Plus Australians don't have the same level of hatred some Yanks have towards Government. We've never really had a civil war. Maybe some miners complaining about fees but nothing serious enough that brother turns on brother.
  22. The big takeaway from the cats v blues game was how easy the cats hurt them from the rebound. The cats moved the ball from their backline at breakneck speed and the blues looked powerless to stop them at time. I hope we can do the same. Players like Windsor, Tracca Kozzie and Langdon should have big nights. It would be wonderful to move the ball like that so Fritta and Co have some space. I'm really bouyed by Petty's return to form who's was that marking connection we have really been missing. Hopefully Jvr can hold a few more of his and we should be able to dominate this mob.
  23. It's a bit of an unknown quantity somewhat. Yes we can bank on Fritta and Kozzie but our talls are the interesting factor. If two of Turner, Petty and Jvr perform, I reckon we've got this.
  24. I didn't feel confident against Geelong and I don't tonight. I should though after the Cats win. I feel like this will be another arm wrestle. Can we win two close ones in a week? I'm worried about the five day break. Apparently it was a very light training run which makes sense. I know Frittas good for his three goals and Kozzie for his usually two but who else will kick them? I think 90 points is a winning score. I know we have the best defense in the comp but Blues fwds are very dangerous. We can't rely on just keeping them to a few. If we do win, it will well and truly set up our season. I'm excited to see if Petty continues his form. And to see what young Windsor does again tonight. And of course Kozzie. He's always exciting.
