Love your optimism but I think we will have the same number of wins as last year (or one more) at the end of home and away. (without the big losses of last year) We were lucky with few outs last year and I think the Freo game will come back and bite us. Confident of today but lets be honest,,,,God himself could not predict this clubs form.

Foxtel would not pay so much for the rights if people all bought an Afl pass. Its a bummer having to pay for the foxtel basic package to watch AFL. Without the AFL rights poxtel would go broke as the rest of their programs are crap. Just ring up poxtel and tell them you are cancelling and they will do back flips to keep your business as Netflix and googleplay are killing them. AFL is the only thing stopping Murdoch going broke. We should all boycott for a year and get rid of them once and for all. I could manage watching free to air and listen to more games on radio but we get so little free to air coverage as Dees supporters. What to do? Foxtel suck and will continue too unless there is some competition. Bloody Rupert ....greedy sod.

What to do? I'm kinda reminded of the old saying about shuffling the deck chairs on the titanic. Every club has key player injuries. Great sides have the depth to cover them. We lack depth. We have built a great core group but need to keep building. We need another cull at the end of this year and to stop carrying people if we really want a flag. Plus reexamine the list and see if we really need those development players we have. Hoping we can do some more creative recruiting like Lewis and Hibberd for next year and pick up another big, strong experienced forward and defender. Am grateful for the young guns that we have but they need help. I also think 11 wins might get a team a finals birth this year. Hope its us but the window is closing this weekend I fear.

.Love a key forward like Brown , Riewoldt or Franklin that can win a game off their boot, Been a long time for the Dees to have a superstar . Hogan seems to have such promise . I hope he can be. Wishing him well. We have been caught short in this regard for a long time. I also hope Weids will progress but he seems miles away at this stage. The Tmac experiment worked well and would be great to have the depth to do it more often. Its funny how we were all singing about the depth of talent this year. While I for one am impressed with our recruiting we need to keep building. Also tempering the players excitement after a big win wouldn't hurt either. How often to we win a big game , sing our own praises then lose the next 2. Do we have such low expectations? Is this our problem? Have years of defeatism taken its toll? The club should bunker down after every win and focus on what needs to be done for another. So tired of the roller coaster that is MFC at times as are so many others, Im sure. The next celebration should be when we hold up the coveted cup. That's my rant for the week.

Fair point. To me it was a double wammy as Brown always kills us and Im not a great jkh fan.Other than that we have done some awesome recruiting that needs to be tweaked as Im sure it will.

Out Watts if we could..... His disposal is usually great but how often does he take the game by the scruff like Reiwoldt? He just seems so average of late and he is one of our most experienced players with 150 games. Look at Hannon for goodness sake he kicked 3 to jacks zilch. Where is this guys passion? But for sure Weid.......should not have been in all year. Even if he got 20 touches a game he just does not kick any goals
