GAMEDAY: Rd 13 vs Bulldogs
Seems like a an eternity since we played. Good things worth the wait. Preuss is in despite the anxiety and has already proven himself. The boys are choc full of confidence coming off 3 big wins. Onballers in fine form and the frwd structure seems to be doing really well. Should be fine. Weve got this.Dees by 36. Then again, someone hold me.

Jesse Hogan on the way out at Freo?
Except his said shot at goal sometimes. One of those players who you didnt mind doing well at another club for some reason.

Jesse Hogan on the way out at Freo?
Too true. Rough ride in life thats for sure. I suppose I forget at times that despite the fame and fortune most of these blokes are just young men under a great deal of stress , injuries and spotlights. Throw in family loss and cancer and this bloke has done it tough. Id have him back but he's lost a lot of his value. I wonder sometimes if just going back and playing footy for fun at a lower level is the best way for some players to go. Wish him the best wherever he goes.

Tom Lynch Incident (incl. Dimma vs The Ox)
Dimma would have a field day with me. I almost tear up after every Dees win these days?

To you Dimma , I'd like to quote you: Perhaps you should have "a good hard look at yourself."

Went to THAT GAME when he kicked NINE.... all in the 2nd against the filth. Was truly magical stuff that day. Was a one man excitement machine and alone was worth the price of admission (which in the good ol days was probably a fiver and you didnt need to ring your accountant to see if you coild buy a beer).

Forgot abot this bloke. Nice blast from the past. At present Im thinking about Sean White probably cos Lever's cookie crumbler reminds me of him. One of the toughest dfenders MFC ever had. Also Fritta reminds me a little of that famous number 2. (B4 I get canned .....mostly in his body size and athleticism). All time fave without question is Mr Jim Stynes who unfortunately like Sean Wight, taken too early. Had the pleasure to meet him once. Jim Stynes was a wonderful bloke and gave his all for the club, both on and off the field. Presently, I think I would put Max down as my currrent fave. For the same reasons just mentioned for Mr Stynes.

Angus Brayshaw
Probably not?

His goal from the 50 was superb. Finding and hitting up targets with the precision we saw in 2018. Keep it coming Gus. Love the golf swing. So much more confidence.

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Bulldogs
Hope so. Has certainly been working himself back into form and maybe due for a breakout or comeback game.

POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
Langdon was good but I certainly didnt think that good. Oliver has being awesome with his disposal the last 3 games. Now playing very clever footy. Gus has done a 360 and showing what we hoped he would. Definately found his calling in the middle. Trac going from strength to strength. Midfield is back to being rightly feared. Spargo puts in 110%.

Disagree. True Tmac is not our key forward anymore and SW has taken on that mantle. Yet as a fwrd especially the 2nd, goalscoring certainly is a critical KPI. Yes taking away another class defender and presenting down the ground is part of his role but Weid cant kick a winning score all the time. Recall when Tmac was 2nd fiddle to Hogan in 2018 when Tmac kicked more goals than Jesse. The game has changed so much in the last 10 to 15 years that we wont see forwards kicking in excess of 80 goals a year. Great sides have multiple goal scorers. Sure maybe Fritta or Milk may step up but ultimately If Tmac is not rucking (which he is not great at) if we want final's success ,Tmac needs to kick more than 0.8goals a game as a 2nd key fwd or provide more direct goal assists. Although better the last 2 games he has been a shadow of the 2018 Coleman contender he was 2 years ago. Even his marking has dropped off. On a positive, if ever we needed someone to kick accurately and kick the after siren winning goal.....he is our man.
