POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
I heard a stat mentioned the other day that dogs won about twenty of their first quarters all year. I'm not sure if that's true....anyone confirm? If it is, it was a better one by us to whip them in the first of the granny. That first quarter scoring by us was not our usual way. But helped keep us in touch score wise when the dogs got the drop on us. Psychologically if we were thirty points down it could have been pretty rough. I still dont get why the dogs went out in the last the way they did. Yep they travelled a lot but had 2 weeks rest. One must assume that they were somewhat blown away by our third quarter performance. It must have had taken some toll on their mindset. After controlling the scoring and be three goals up they must have been wondering if it was theirs maybe.

I think Sparrow is now worthy to be promoted into the firsts. We also need to recruit another tall and solid forward.- Seasons Greetings
Well we couldn't have asked for a better gift than a flag. Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season for whatever you celebrate, including Festivus. Thanks Demonland for all the entertainment and outlet you have given us all. Be kind to one another as always, eat your fill and look forward to another cup coming our way soon. Cheers.- POSTGAME: PF vs Geelong

Smashing them as we did in the prelim must go close. Sorry I just read the other post that mentions this. Cant delete so I'll just add the cats have had it over us for a long time and it's great we have totally turned it around in only one season.- What they're saying down at Moorabool Street

Which player looked the angriest when Max marked? (Hint...yes not a defender)- PLAYER NUMBERS AND BEST TEAMS
Has it happened anywhere I think all the Silvagnis had numero uno.- POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
I've been informed ( and quite rightly) by another poster that Bbbs main weapon was him taking grabs on the lead and then lining up for goal. That he was somewhat one dimensional as a forward. Watching many replays I think that Bbb has really changed and now become very good at contested marking. He also roved and goaled more than once. And if not marking in a pack, he has certainly taken the ball to ground and added lots of pressure.. While he did ok in his goal tally I think his real value to the team has been the go player to chf. His hands were very strong and he seemed to take over the link up role Tmac used to be. A perfect example would be the dribble kick by Trac where Bbb won the contest via free kick on the centre wing.- QUIZ - Round 23 Last Two Minutes. Test your memory!
Thanks very much DiO. Alas I did poorly but enjoyed doing it. Gee that was a ripper of a game despite the umps pinging Gus for insufficient intent which was a howler. I'm so glad that Lever didn't just go the roost which given the clock time many players would have. Cool head is Jake. The look on Hawkins face when Max marked was fantastic. He was so angry. I know score wise there have been bigger comebacks but at Kardinia park and the top spot at stake it will go down as one of our best.- POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
I've come to conclusion if if Max missed the goal in round 23we would have still won the flag. We only just snuck into being minor premiers which I dont think reveals how much better than everyone else we really were. I also think if the umps were better than the Lions would have beaten the dogs and if we played them in a granny it would have been a lot tougher. Anywho... I hope this season we really hammer a lot of teams.- POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
