  1. Dont want to be a downer but I wouldnt get too excited about when the club says he will be back. I recall he was only out for two Then four Then six Heres hoping....has been very much missed .
  2. Wasnt all Weids fault. I forgot to include Kozzie. I think we lost because we didnt kick enough goals. Our three leading scorers kicked ONE goal between them. I think its probably a part of it ?
  3. We are not down a great deal but we rely on Fritta and Tmac more than we should. What happens when they both have a bad day. We lose to a side like cwood.
  4. And rightly so. Tmac and Fritta have been good but we need a power forward like Hawkins , Roo or Walker. If Bbb can get back to his okd form then a flag is certainly in reach. As good as our defence is we still are not kicking enough goals. We do not have the luxury of time to keep playing Sam W . In fact after five or six seasons its time to stop. The window for a flag is NOW and next year. We get Bbb in asap and if he fails Mitch Brown. The club did its best I guess and I think it was a hard call working out who to play bw Weid and bbb. But surely after sw last game we have to put bbb back in. Bbb only played 3 games for the whole year and was not shocking. He is also a proven leading Afl goal kicker for three out of the last four seasons( home and away games) so theres that. I say the club resets and presents after the bye with bbb for at least the next four or five games and if it does not work we try the other Brown.
  5. The accuracy and speed of delivery to their forwards by the pies was par excellence and our defenders were limited in stopping them. Was a great performance and I hope we took notice. Our mids blew it as much as our forward line did imho.
  6. When I think about the tigers and Geelong ...The power of their forwards comes into it. We need to be able to have somthing equivalent.
  7. He was ok in two games and poor in another. Given they were his only senior games for over a year of footy , I stongly disagree with your post.
  8. The club dropped the ball in dropping bbb in the first instance. I understand why but with hindsight was the wrong call in replacing him with sw. Only the club knows where bb is with form and fitness at present but if hes right to go no person could argue for sw instead of him. A serious marking inability has crept into poor Sams game and we dont have the luxury of gifting him games in hopes that it will get better. His confidence seems very low and the guy is struggling. Sadly the club has been very patient with him. May be best for both parties to part ways at seasons end. Sw may get more games elsewhere and improve and we may get a great replacement.
  9. Oliver Cant kick a set shot to save himself so while not bad at crumbing Id say no.
  10. Exactly. Dropped the ball before the game even started. Mentally absent for most of it. I thought the boys had matured and I guess they have but yesterday was Dees of old sadly. Im sure they will turn it around but its not good. On a plus side we can pretty much conclude weidrman is not the solution to our fwd line. I know the majority were poor but this player has done little in his sixth season now. The zero kick stat is the final straw for mine. Delevery was poor but hunhry players like Hawkins make their own stats and do whatever it takes to breakout. Never discount passion in determining the future of a player. Hoping One of the Browns will step up and fill this need.....hoping Bbb. Never should have been dropped . He was not that bad in the games he played but who knows what goes on onside the club and reasons for selections. But if sam w gets another game next round it will be a mistake. Also a shout out to Max who some have maligned....his performance was solid and saved us from being totally pantsed. And Oliver as much as I worship you....seriously you need to spend a lot more time fixing your goal shots every week. Your set shots are a disgrace. Not sure if Sparrow is ready yet. And Goody seemed slow again to make changes when things were not working. Lastly, we have a total gem in Jackson.
  11. Well that would be a worry. Id prefer Mitch Brown over Weideman after his game today. After five years you can make a reasonable judgement call about his future. His surname is pedigree but he hasnt consistently showed it. Why keep someone who hasnt done well for five years? So he can do little for another five? Isnt that a definition of insanity?
  12. He lost a lot of value on todays no kick show.
  13. Quite a few average games in a row from Hunt now.
  14. An absolute stinker. Topped off surrounded by pies supporters yelling all night. We looked so sloooooow it was embarrassing. Add a fwd line that looked disinterested even if the mids stank it up with a lot of poor entries. Thanks Max. Goodbye weideman.
  15. Strange though that he can do so well in the twos. But yep he looked lost today. I dont know if hes lost speed or times his leap poorly but he just cant hold on to the ball. Talk about butter fingers. Hes played over fifty games now and is not giving a good return so I really think his future at the club may be in jeopardy.
  16. At least Bbb can hold a mark. Does weid use to much hand sanitizer before the game? Cant take a trick marking. Bbb should not have been dropped. At least we know where we stand with SW now. All the best for him. I wish it were different but its not sadly.
  17. This is the Melbourne that we all know and sadly remember too well. A flag looks unlikely after this. Will play finals..thats all. Sorry .
  18. This is such a poor effort against a bottom team Media will be all over us if we lose. And rightly so. Why was Bbb dropped?
  19. Maybe Weideman will kick three and save us? Honestly if he doesnt fire up now with this game on the line then I cant see him ever doing it.
