PREGAME: Rd 04 vs West Coast
Hibbo doesnt seem to have lost any speed. I hope he plays again as a permanent fixture. I guess Petty stays up forward. I prefer Bbb but I think Petty is good at locking the ball. Tmac may do more of the ruck allowing Jvr to have more energy and time to impact the scoreboard. I love Sparrow's hardness and strength but he should give way for Jordan's seemingly more polished with use of the ball. Chandler to remain after a blistering performance last week resulting in Kozzie in the middle. I'm wondering if those two can be swapped with Chandler being rotated through the midfield. Not sure. Since Goodys gone mad with changes lately, does anyone think Spargo could have the odd midfield cameo?

Any Dees supporters in Wollongong? My son follows USA bball ( I have no son) It gets lonely sometimes not being able to gloat with someone.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Sydney
āI think heās 36 now ... and I think there was a bit of a fight starting,ā May said on SEN. āAnd he said to me, āWeāre not getting involved in that, are we? Weāre too old for thatā. āI said, āYeah, man, I canāt be doing that. Love it. Despite the fierce rivalry bw the two they can laugh with one another during the game. Both wise enough to put things in perspective.

Demonstone's Guide To Posting On Gameday Threads
Thanks Ds. As they say, it's funny because it's true. Guilty as charged. I would like to add that when you have tried all these time trusted suggestions and you still don't feel relieved enough or made others as just as depressed, you can always talk about the Norm Smith curse.

All week footy.
Apologies if this thread has already exists but I was wondering what the consensus would be regarding footy every night of the week or close too it? Maybe Wednesday night as well? I enjoyed the time we had 30 nights in a row during Covid but that may have been just a welcome distraction at the time.

Has there been a survey why we all follow the mighty Mfc? I suspect like me, most of us do under the said supporter father son rule and to be honest during our dark days, I think I may have resented my old man for following them. Sorry. All is forgiven. Tx dad. Tx Dees. Just wish I could have shared 21 with him.

It must have been so tribal in the very early days and probably up to the 70s perhaps. In the lead up to a granny in the goid ol days some streets in some burbs would have houses adjourned in club colours. It was very parochial and players were paid didley squat. A plumber would be installing your new stove Friday am and playing Senior Vfl the next arvo. How long ago it all seems. Still as interesting as it all was, it's nice to have a national comp with footy on tap 4 days a week.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Sydney
I like Petty up forward but Tmac played a ripper at Casey and seems to have his confidence back. When fit and firing Tmac is a classic " bollocking " chf that crashes packs and can amass a bag of marks. He is also a dead eye shot on goal....both snaps and set. Bbb is a proven leading goal scorer who has already kicked 9 for the season including a game he was taken off early. I think that they will both be a big part of our flag success this year.

Iām not posting during games any more!
I have a mild mannered Aunty in her 80s who turns into the hulk at the footy. She's a swans supporter but certainly gets her monies worth at a game. We always joke that we can hear her from the opposite side of the ground.

We've all done it. Just proves your passion for the game mate and this post...your love of the club. Go Dees.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Sydney
Watched the replay. The first quarter was strange. We lost 7 centre clearances in a row but kicked 6 more goals. We have the best defenders in the comp. JL on track for clubs b and f. Rivers is back to his best. Bowey still playing like a 100 gamer. McVee is a nice surprise and all is right in the world with Maysie back in. And to think we are missing one of the best defenders in Salem.

Kozzy Pickett Re-Signs for 4 Years
Gee that's tough. I wish I could remember more often not to get caught up in the emotion of a game and not bag players. At least not ours. I know many posters think Lj did our club wrong and maybe he did but gee what a lot of pressure some of them are under. I think what happened to Watts was really rough and the guy did incredibly well to weather all the critics. Yea they get big bucks but I'm sure it's tough for them to be under so much scrutiny. I really hope Kozzie stays with us during our so called flag window of the next 3 to 4 years. Yep, he has the chance to go home and be part of the collective blame for a clubs failings or in later decades say ....yea I was a part of that Demon Dynasty of three premierships. Looking forward to seeing him play this weekend.
