I am related to Sean Wight (no 27) the Irishman from the 80's. My mum ( who's a Pommy) told how we are distant cousins, I was only 10. So Imagine his surprise when he came to a Footy clinic in Albury and a Freckled faced Blonded haired Aussie kid came up and said Im related to you. My mum just told me to mention his family names and she would fill him in. As it turns out, we are related even if was distant, he thought it was great and took all my family in. As a result I had one of the best times of my life getting free tickets to games, finals and the Grand Final of 88. He also got me into the change rooms after games often and my family was invited to the after match functions where I meet all the players I worshipped. So its not surprising that Im Dees Mad.

The Dee's have been constantly drumming out the line, about the season not being over, this week by Sylvia in Herald Sun, Thus they will go with their best 22, that might mean they bring in Dunn, Pickett etc. I havent had the opportunity to see Newton play, however going by what people have written, is that he fades in and out of games. Yes he has kicked goals but I have read when he does he hasnt been named in their best. Melbourne want to keep winning so if they pick him this week it will be a good sign, but I doubt it.

Police wish to speak to a Man who streaked in the Dogs v Dockers game, who was wearing a Borat Man Kini. Talk about funny. I think its a shame that the AFL and other codes have outlawed the streak. The rule should be if you get caught on the ground you can cop the fine but if you get off and back into the crowd your ok, Its great entertainment. I was at the grand final when the Dee's lost to the Hawks in 88 and the only highlight was a female streaker doing the dash. Wheres the fun gone ?

Spot on, It's the type of footy that the saints are playing that sucks, they arn't using the great fowards they have got. On the Weekend Robbo Kicked 7 and the Saints kicked 8.

I thought the players supported Thomas who was sacked last year, after playing in the finals for the last three years. The board appointed Lyon and look where they are at the moment, its the worst they have played in a long time. The players have to respect and want to play for the coach, and the melbourne side does.

Daniel Bell has been a revelation this year, he has definately taken the next step. Paul Johnston was always going to improve because he was injured for most of last year.

The thing to like about Paul Johnson is he is a mobile ruckman who can get around the ground, take Marks and Kick Goals ( eg Spider) This is the most games he has played in a row, since crossing to the Dee's, so I imagine being a big bloke would be just starting to reach peak fitness, so expect him to improve further and be more consistent. I also doubt we have seen the last of Jamar.

We expect certain players to perform eg> Robbo, McDonald etc. But who on our list has improved most since last season ? expected or not. Godfrey has surprised me with his performances this year, he is becoming an important part of the side, which he may not been in previous years. Jones and Bate a further along in their development than last year.

Seeing Guys improving, wets the appetite of the Future ahead eg Bate, Jones, Brock , P Johnston, Sylvia. Loved Greens Mark in last quarter when the pressure was on in defence.

Clangers are part of Footy ! Thats why they take stats on it. Every player will occasionally do bad kicks and with the pace of the modern game that is more likely to occur. Everyone noticed Bruce's today beacuse of where he was positioned on the ground. P Johnson missed two easy shots at goal also, It happens they are human! Seeing those teams, shows that SOO will be good to watch, and proves that the national game is growing. The sides like Vic have and always will be strong but its good to see the lesser know AFL states producing more AFL talent than they would have say 20 years ago.

Robbo made comment on 3AW sports today, That the Dees are still a mathamatical chance of playing finals and hes not the only one Ive heard say this. This tells me that the club hasnt given up on the season. Thats why they havent made too many changes by introducing the kids.

If the Dees could get Dal Santo or Riewoldt to the club would be a bonus, dont get me wrong. But I think their value wouldnt be that different.

I think anyone is dreaming that Dal Santo will be any cheaper than the others, He is a star on the rise, thus why everyone wants him and demand equals $.

Three B & F at the saints which have played finals, including last year, yeah your right Over rated we are better off with Miller.

Riewold sign him up, Is a Elite player of the competition and would be a good replacement for Neitz long term. He wasnt happy with the sacking of Thomas last year, which I imagine sapped alot of his faith in the club. He Maybe interested in Fresh start. Surely the Dees are talking to his Managment.

Davey became one of the elite chase down tacklers in the AFL, however players are more aware what he is capable of, thus get rid of the ball just before he arrives, that is why he is pushing them as they kick, but any form of pressure is better than allowing them free reign.

I agree he will definately play, It was extremely soft, if he doesnt play the tribunal is a joke. Im sure that this site would go into meltdown if a Melb player got reported for that. Anyway I want him there so Belly can tear him apart.

IMO you dont trade the good youngsters eg, Brock, Jones, Sylvia, Bate etc all of which are yet to realise their potential. Who says that in two years from now that Brock isnt as good or as valuable as Judd. West Coast are fortunate to Have Judd but they also have Kerr, Cousins, Fletcher, Braun, Priddis etc. and its the group that makes them a good side.

Will they bring back Miller to Play on Rocca ? Wouldnt surprise. This game will be a midfield battle, who ever can get on top and dominate will win.
