Not saying i don't believe you ProDee as this is what you have been told & either way it doesnt bother me if he comes or not......but Player Managers rank = with Lawyers for being lying,manipulating dog's & no Manager has ever been honest.He couldn't care what position Gaff plays he wants his cut of the deal so will always push to the highest bidder.I mean i donr even trust Mahoney wuth what he says at the moment because its all a game.Im also on the side of thinking that when Jones was interviewed the other night he knew exactly what was going on with Hogan,i mean in that position he would be all over it.

Same here,id take 1.2mill at Norths over 750k at Dees without even a second to think about it.They will lift a few spots,maybe between 6-8 on the ladder & to be honest we will probably only be around that 4-6 spot & if Gawn went down we wouldn't even make the 8.

Same as why any player up until this year has chosen to come to us or why a player like Judd goes to Carlton,Ablett to Suns etc.They were never going to win flags or even play finals but at the end of the day retiring from Footy with a little medallion but half the wage you could of made changes lots of things.$750k with us & still no guarantee of a flag or 1.2mill with North but with a less chance of a flag would be an easy choice in my eyes.I work for money & thats the case with these guys in the current AFL climate.

Exactly,money was the only reason for his move not success.Basically the average Aussie wage is around 100k & if we were all offered 150k to change jobs we would nearly all do it.

I wouldn't care 1 iota.The money on offer would make me happy enough to never even win a single game again in my lifetime.Thing is these days it really is just a job & that many playets couldnt care if they win or lose.Just think we go to work for 100k a year & do you really care if your company wins awards etc?

Purely money,nothing less or nothing more.Players dont go to average clubs,will terrible coaches for any other reason .He could win a flag at WC & be at a better run club so saying its go home factor & then ruling out the best club is crap.It says ill be a stand out in a team that will never play Finals in my lifetime,look like the big man & make bucket loads of easy cash,with no extra games or training come September

Yep been saying it for the last 5 or so years. People dont take honesty very well on these 1 sided forums,but to me he's necer been any better that a straight out B-Grader (not even a B+,just a B).He has been loyal to the Dees through poor times but i see that more a case of no other club realy wanting him,over him just sticking solid with us.We do have a conundrum coming up because even now i see him as a fringe player but next year i think he drops back further & how do we handle dropping him? Hes never been quick, can't take an overhead mark,isnt a great kick,gets caught holding the ball every game because his ability to evade is poor.Not saying he us garbage but there is a reason most other supporters dont rate him & only see him as a solid toiler

Does the Eagles winning the Flag make it more or less likely that Gaff becomes available? I missed a GF once through injury & have to say it made it easy to walk away the year after due to feeling no emotion to the Premiership....in fact it felt worse than losing 1.Who thinks now that he is more of a chance of jumping ship & who thinks it will push him into staying on at WCE?

Couldnt agree more jd. If that was us yesterday & Collingwood kicked the 1st x 5 goals it would have been all over.We would have gone to water like we did in the West last week & ended up losing by over 10 goals.Pies trounced us during the year just as WC did a few weeks ago & to me i think we are still a fair tick off the pace.Not saying we couldn't win it next year but we would need to be at our best while say the WC were off by that 10% to be a chance.

Nah no chance. Freo will not even play Finals for the next 5 years let alone Win the comp.Id be very confident in saying he will never grace the MCG for the decider

Yeah maybe i was being a bit harsh but in all honesty we will never get a better offer than 2 x 1st rounders.I think we need to cash in & get the lower pick not the option where they may deal with Port & drop our picks down

Couldnt agree more. As usual fans are massively over hyping a player thats given very little & rarely makes it onto the park.If he played for Carlton/Ess etc we would all be saying a 4th rounder at best as hes only a list filler & will never be top 15 of a club thats a consistent top 8 club.He fits in when injuries & suspensions arrise.He may have helped raise the bottom quarter of our list originally but if we want to be a better club he fits in nowhere

Id take 2 x 1st rounders any day for someone that is injury prone,over rated by Dees supporters & a mummies boy.People keep saying he has a huge upside....but does he? I dont like his sulking,playing for frees & missed set shots ftom 30m out

To be honest i may be in the minority but ive never liked his head dropping & sulking when he isnt spoon fed the ball.He has some good attributes obviously but very rarely takes a pack mark,isnt really a good set shot kick inside 30m & to me plays for frees too often.Cash in now while we can as he clearly doesn't want to buy into the Melbourne dream. This may also be blunt but for christs sake everyones dad dies & its a part a life.I just dont get how a supposed grown man eraning 7-800k a year can't survive without mummy. I mean everywhere in Australia is only a maximum of a few hours away from home on these things called planes & you can jump on one at any hour of the day.People all over the world live in different countries & survive & peoples manage to live in different states of Australia too without any drama. When he goes ill never remember him as a Demons player & will hope he never has any success

Josh Mahoney was asked if Rockliff was a target. His reply was a prompt absolutely not....no interest at all. Make what you will but he didn't hesitate for 1 second before answering & looked as honest as could be

Any person here asking where he fits into our best 22 are delusional as he walks straight in as the best player in the team.Clearly the only 1 with a decent amount of finals experience, leader & tough as nails.He is an A Grade midfielder in a team that only has B Grade mids currently although some up & coming that may hit A Grade.Elite skills compared to Viney who burns the ball a lot & Jones who bombs away more than pin points targets.He will make the young lads stand up & show them what it takes to be more than bottom 4 material.He has been a runner up in the best midfield of the last decade, we have no one that has reached those heights.It may only be 2 years & then finished but it will b invaluable to the young list & we all know our major weakness is leadership & not knowing how to close out tight games.You can guarantee that with Lewis there this year we wouldn't have lost to Essendon, Carlton or St Kilda when it came crunch time. I for 1 don't care if he keeps Oliver, Brayshaw or Petracca out of the team because at the end of the day if they aren't good enough bad luck

Why should they get paid more? Tell me how much do you think non AFL listed players in the VFL & SANFL get paid weekly?Granted the better ones get paid more but plenty of 20 yr old men earning a couple hundred $$$ a game & all of them would walk over every female player. If they get crowds & sponsors then they pay there wage but until then they deserve nothing more than amateur men

Not many because he is pea hearted & a 1 trick pony.If he isn't fed the ball lace out he offers nothing.Daniher had a stinker of a day with his kicking but he persisted, jumped, lead & fought for the ball.Hogan did none of that today & none of it last week for 3 quarters. I'd be comfortable in predicting he will never reach the heights at Melbourne & will venture back west where he will star
