  1. We have been the unluckiest team all year when it comes to playing teams and their form going into the game.

Essendon (turned it around against us and won 3 straight)

Saints (world beaters at the time)

Richmond (before most of their injuries)

Collingwood (before their form drop off)

Dogs (turned it around a couple of weeks before us)

Even our wins against Freo, Carlton and the Suns we came up against them in good form. The only team I can think of we were lucky with is Sydney.

I've been a supporter but ANB is useless at the moment. Terrible disposal, not a quick thinker and constantly putting teammates under pressure. Depth player at best at the moment.

I lost it when he was running straight at goal 30m out and did a checkside and missed. Seriously, if you can’t hit a 30m drop punt running in, you just can’t be playing AFL (or probably VFL for that matter).

  3. First game with our best back 6 but still a rubbish loss for a game we probably should have won.

Brayshaw needs to be dropped to find form.

AnB can’t be in the team. I get that he’s a team player and he’ll run over and help a fellow teammate up off the ground, but he is just a very poor footballer.

Hannan’s credit in the bank is now at 0. Back to Casey.

Lastly, Goodwin has to raise the Gawn/Umpire issue at his presser. Will be so disappointed if he doesn’t.

How many budding fitness experts from Demonland have applied I wonder

I actually find it funny that this is on linked-in. I thought these jobs are just filled through connections in the industry.

The odd splattered disposal is a feature of Hunt’s game in general unfortunately, particularly by hand. I place him in a similar category to Frost - plays an exciting style of game and does a lot right, but always a chance to do a few things in a game that make your eyes water.

Surprised at the negativity on Jones’ game. I thought he had a pretty tidy game, especially considering he was on for the entire second half without break. Where and when were these terrible mistakes?

I thought Jones was one of our best. His spearing kick to Tmac was a ripper but it bounced off Tmac’s chest it was that good.

  6. Carlton supporters are bloody loud. I reckon it was almost 40k to 15k split to go with it. I honestly don’t know how they’ve managed to hold on to such a supporter base given their last decade.

Anyway, I thought it was obvious we had to just “survive” that last qtr. You could tell from the first passage we were trying to conserve energy and just hold on. We were all out on our feet. Having said all that, should have been a 50pt buffer, goal kicking is still a massive issue.

  7. Members should have received an email today from the club requesting you to participate in a membership survey. It's a good thing they did it today compared to if they sent it on Monday (and following a loss to Carlton if it occurs).

Would love yo know what @Sir Why You Little put down for the top 5 words that come to mind when you think about the Melbourne Football club!

  8. Hearing Jordan Lewis speak on AFL 360, one of the disappointing things about the Brisbane game was an attitude issue, in that some players were off their usual behavioural standards (e.g deciding not to chase/defend). It’s behaviours like this that keep me worried. The only  acceptable excuse for this is the reason they decided not to chase/defend because they’re too tired/not fit enough due to the aforementioned pre-season.

  9. Wayne Carey said on Talking footy it looked like we were there for a Sunday picnic. No pressure at all applied to Brisbane. 2 tackles in a qtr. Called it our worst performance of the year.

  10. Not sure why the Dees hired an investigative journalist to do a media role in the first place? It’s not like any other club has Mitch Cleary or Tom Browne employed. Pure conflict of interest to how they do the two jobs.
