CHANGES: SF vs Brisbane
Medical advise doesn't sound all that positive for Petracca.

CHANGES: SF vs Brisbane
If Goody has refused to change up our personnel throughout the 2nd half of the year, then he sure as hell wont change it out of the blue for a cut throat elimination final. Goody's stubbornness has gotten the better of him this year. Incredibly disappointing.

Note to MFC Coaches & Players... Kicking to the Pocket or Bombing = Losing Strategy
So everyone in the media especially a past champion of the game that knows forward craft better then anyone (Lloyd), knows this is a flawed system and have voiced this concer all year. Yet we've done nothing at all in rectifying this. Cool.

Christian Petracca hairline fracture.
We subbed out Luke Jackdon against Brisbane because he had a corcked calf..

CHANGES: SF vs Brisbane
The more I have thought about it today the more they are a huge chance to win this.

CHANGES: SF vs Brisbane
Agree 100% It's my biggest gripe for this year. I'd understand if Casey were performing poorly but they've lost 1 game this year. Look at the way Collingwood have integrated their young kids this year. They've 6 debutants while we've had 1 this year.. go figure.

Have you enjoyed season 2022?
I enjoyed 2018 more to be honest. We played such a fast and exciting brand and would score heavily and won some pretty high scoring games. But we also leaked goals pretty easily so it was much of a muchness. We've obviously turned to a more defensive game plan which resulted in a premiership so can't complain at all from that point of view. I also lived in Melbourne at the time and attended a lot of games. The 2018 finals experience is by far the biggest highlight supporting the dees in terms of being there on the spot. 2018 was certainly from an entertainment point of view more enjoyable.

CHANGES: SF vs Brisbane
Just watched a young key position player in Jye Amiss who in his 2nd game of AFL footy just take control of doggies defenders and made a solid contribution. The mind boggles that to this day JVR hasn't really come close to a debut. Time for ego to put his stubbornness aside and just play the kid next week.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
No I agree wholeheartedly mate. Goody coached poorly in this regard.

All good Colm. Hope we can go as far as we can.

Is it time to bite the bullet and bring in the extra tall? Weideman/JVR Dunstan to also come in and release Petracca to play majority up forward?

Regardless what happens I'm extremely proud of the boys this year. Physically hunted all year and still finished top 4. Aa I've already said. Next year I'm extremely confident we can finish top 3 again if we can tweak our game plan and fix up our forward structure. The age and games played demographic is right in the sweet spot for next year also.

No. I just see it from a realistic point of view and our inability to not tweak our game plan at all this year to counter these top 4 teams. We should beat Brisbane because they're actually average. Geelong on the other hand are well drilled across the field. They're like Sydney and are extremely well disciplined and yet have just won a final at the MCG when most of you erote them off as having no chance of winning a final at the G. Our game plan simply doesn't stand up against these tops sides. Simple as that. We're also physically banged up. It's very evident last night with the amount of guys we had with knee bandages. Add that to the 5 players that all had to get scans today and proves my point that we're just banged up physically. That alone won't stand up against these fitter sides like Geelong and Sydney who have managed their players well this year.

NON-MFC: Finals 2022 Week 01
Sir, I'm extremely proud of the boys for getting this far and I applaud them for how hard they have worked this year. But I think having being hunted all year and being physically bashed each week I think it's unfortunately caught up to us mentally and physically. I think we still beat Brisbane but coming up against Geelong who are another gear up will be an enormous task. I'm more confident that next year we'll bounce back really well.

Nothing. It's just not our year. Next year on the other hand. Supremely confident if we can really fix our game plan and forward line structure.

POSTGAME: QF vs Sydney
We're talking last night, not what's happened the last 2 years. It was very evident early that Jackson was struggling against Hickey. He was man handled physically and was overwhelmed. We looked more dangerous when Gawn rucked because he know, he's a 6x All Australian ruckman.. Gawn should have rucked 90% of the time after half time. Goodwin and the coaching staff were simply slow to react to this. Starting Gawn at FF in the last quarter when we were 12 points down is simply poor coaching. Get your best players right into the action at all costs.

NON-MFC: Finals 2022 Week 01
Collingwood are the real deal. They're really impressive to watch. To think we were so close to snaring Jamie Elliot at the end of 2019 .. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
