He comes across as overly smug and arrogant, a trait that's absolutely dispicable. You might like that thing P Man but it really gets my goat. Would hate to see him in Red and Blue.

I agree dees189227, but its hard to read. On one hand - he seems almost naieve that he may very well be moved on.. yet on the other, he may realize that he's down to his last chip and therefore he simply HAS to improve, otherwise he's gone. That in itself could be the kind of pushing he needs to finally be consistent. On a similar note, has there been any other notable players that have taken as long as or longer than Watts to reach their true potential - or is Jack the only player ever in the AFL/VFL to play for 8 seasons without being dropped/delisted/traded due to not being of an acceptable standard

I was told to watch a clip of Chris Dawes on CH 7 interviewing rapper 360 cause it was 'quite good'. Turned out it was actually Jamar. Even when not taking a set shot at goal, Dawes has the ability to get your hopes up and then let you down. I do wish though he would slot 3 every game like he did against Norf this year, though it seems to be a once a year treat from him going on his performance in Adelaide in 2014.

At least Watts has made the point on AFL site that he actually wants to play for Melbourne next year, unlike Howe. Although he may have addressed his weaknesses in the past, this is the first time Ive heard him state clearly that he stopped going in hard for the contest (arguably he has rarely, if ever, done this in the past) and that this will be his focus to work on during the off season. Hopefully he stays, I personally like Watts - good or bad, his heart definitely beats true. Just needs to put on a few kgs and go in for the contest - regularly.

Brilliant play by Gus. My favourite, second only to Norf game - that mark, play on, gut run and snap for a goal. Class. He also has that cold dead look in his eyes to the opposition when they shove around Melbourne players - team spirit, loves the jumper already.

My 85 grandfather made the comment while watching Round 2 game this year that Greene has one of those annoying 'American Sitcom kid faces that needs to be smashed in' which is hard to disagree with. He fits in well with most of the GWS freaks, albeit no dirty pedo mo. Leave him there.
