  1. Ron Barassi giving instructions on the Tarax show back in the early 60's.
  2. That read is enough to make you throw up.
  3. He's only just turned 32. He can be a class act when he's on. Those shots from the boundary are brilliant.
  4. If Bbb is playing with bone on bone in his knee he's superman. The top of the shinbone and the bottom of the thigh bone have articular cartilage between them. Having recently had a joint replacement because of lack of this cartilage, I can tell you that it is so debilitating that to even walk to the letter box was a chore, let alone playing and training for football. I don't doubt he has issues in this area but bone on bone is b.s. The only fix will be a knee replacement which gives you your life back but I'm afraid his playing days would be over. He is just delaying the inevitable.
  5. Yep, so peeved. Give us Melks and Petty back and we would have had it in the bag.
  6. Wouldn't we all, but doubt it. I hear brown paper bags have been flying off the shelves at woolies.
  7. Remember they took the cup around to his home in 21. It was on TV. He held it up.
  8. Rip Ron Barassi. The iconic Captain Courageous.
  9. It's not finished Pickett has yet to front the tribunal.
  10. Not so amazing Wrecker. The decision to clear Maynard after that contrived hit has left me with a sour taste in my mouth. We all love the game, but dog acts like that just disgust me along with the celebrations by McChin and co only add to it. Play hard, play tough, but hit men with mission to do that, ie, take someone out at opportunity, was back in the Mathews days..I would have liked to have thought our game and attitude especially with the now known concussion issues would have moved on. There is no room or need for thugs in our game. Where are we, back in ancient Rome? I couldn't think of one current Melb player who would enter a game with an attitude like that. I hope that all supporters of teams that play Collingwood give Maynard the biggest boo's whenever he goes near the ball.
  11. Lucky we lost the game. Now that we all know Maynard did nothing wrong, could you imagine the outcry that the free and subsequent goal shouldn't have been paid. The AFL would probably have the result overturned if the margin was under a goal.
  12. Whilst I think it's a good idea for goal scoring, I'm afraid this technology might have the capability of taking away some of the other controversial decisions made by umpires during a game such as short passes, how far a player has run without bouncing, and a miriad of other things that although might be wrong at the time, bring entertainment in relation to the reaction of the crowd to the decision. That's what makes our game great, the cheering, the booing, which I know with the latter, can sometimes over the top, but regardless makes for conversation and interaction and discussion which is a essential element in our game which I would hate to lose.
  13. When your half deaf (seriously) like me, you do rely on lip reading and emotions a lot. Anyway we will see.
  14. Reading lips,I think when Smith walked to goody he asked him "hows Jake?”I recon goody replied he'll be right.
  15. Ump obviously was frozen stiff, petrified, unable to speak, move, for the fear the Sherman Tank might come crashing into him.
  16. Nice vision of Hawkins getting his eel juice applied. Should be banned.
