Wonder if Pedo will get a game next week with both rucks down for the count?

Great goal out of the centre, Clarry was bashed in the head no free of course!
-
3rd pinpoint pass to their defenders in 2 minutes for Christ sakes
-
If we could pinpoint pass it to our own teammates like we do to opposition players we would be unstoppable!
-
Fark I'm sick of us giving away goals in the dying seconds of quarters!!! Stupid play
-
19 inside 50s to 5, we need to improve our conversion or this could be geelong revisited
-
I wish we could learn to do that, kick and hope to 35 out directly in front lands in his hands

Hahah cop that Richmond scum!

How is it not deliberate when you run for 25m away directly at the boundey line???

My rudimentary understanding of meteorology suggests that thunder is accompanied by lightning. Does the AFL have a rule that stops play if there's lightning? I can't recall a game ever having been paused for this reason but surely it's an OH&S issue for players and officials if there's lightning about.
PS: Thunder and lightning seem appropriate to get the best out of demons.
I would imagine that the MCG with its exceptionally high stands on all sides containing tones on metal would act like a lightning rod and take the hit rather than the players or fans. Having said that they would probably err on the side of caution and wait until the lightning passes.

That's not even remotely statistically correct.
How so?
When he was in the side we won 6 of 9 (66.6%)
When out of side we won 4 of 13 (30.7%)
I'm not saying he is the reason we are winning, just that when he plays we win more often for some reason.

I don't think he's a spud. Players who make 50 or more AFL games have to have done so because they add something to their team. You wouldn't make it that far otherwise. I don't see the world in black and white.
But your "we win more games" stat is just silly. For a start, it hardly showed a huge difference - what was it, 25% vs 26%? As they say correlation doesn't mean causation. I just don't know how you can conclude anything with that statistic. There's no link between the stat and Pedersen playing, it's just a co-incidence.
How about a "Games in AFL" vs "Games in VFL" ratio? Not an easy stat to get but the fact that he's spent a significant portion of the last two seasons in the VFL is indicative of his standing amongst his coaching group.
66% versus 30.7% in 2016 Nasher.
Don't disagree with the part about VFL versus AFL Nasher, and also completely understand the idea that we need to play guys like Weidermsn to get them up to speed so to speak, also understand that the selectors are in the best position to pick the team, but I still believe he is a player who can help us win depending on the opposition and not a spud as others like to suggest.

I shouldn't need to explain this, but whatever:
There's nothing to establish any link between Pedersen playing and the increased wins.
True, but the fact remains, he plays in a higher percentage of wins than just about any other player in our team (with a statistically significant number of games played).

The stat is, the % of teams that play finals with a potato in their teams is 0
Hahahah, I like it ?
Im simply putting forward the actual stats, people can descide for themselves.
Personally I think he has a place on the right day.

You have to be taking the p*** with that stat, surely.
What stat would you use Nasher?
Perhaps a poll of who thinks he's a spud or not?

Just now, Dr evil said:
I'd probably let that stat go champ, he's a dud.
A spud that has an uncanny ability to play in Melbourne wins champ

He doesn't get a game because he's a spud, if Pederson were a regular in our team we wouldn't be considered potential finalists
Except we win more games when he is in the side than we he is not.

Except for the total lack of any relationship between the two facts.
Watts also makes a much better forward.
But that's the issue for me - when Watts is out of the forward line, we rob our forward line just to have someone sit in the ruck.
Pedersen could play Smith/Weideman's role, not add much less than them (and no, for the record, he won't add much more either), but by rucking that prevents us from having to ruck Watts when we should be playing him as a permanent forward. And as you've said, it's not like Watts is so much of a better ruckman that it's noticeable.
Perhaps I am misunderstanding your meaning, however I don't see how you can suggest a total lack of relationship when we are 33% more likely to win when he is in the team than when he is not?
