  1. Then why don't 22 of us run out there and play?
  2. More open spaces on the G, plus hopefully a few injured players back should account for the two points. Here's hoping anyway.
  3. To get to this point OD we have gained massively. Only a couple of years ago we could only beat the new teams, and Essendon (for some reasons they seem to be our bunny) Now we should beat the bottom teams (Brisbane, Carlton, and GC) and depending on the day get over the Saints and Dogs. That there is already an improvement. I think you forget how far back we are coming from!
  4. The sad thing is that to be competitive against a cellar dweller we have actually come a long way. When was the last time we were competitive, or thinking we should win, against a non expansion club at the bottom?
  5. They are all focussing on what he didn't do well, which was mark, but seem to completely ignore the good things he did.
  6. I remember watching the Cats at their best and they had incredible confidence in each other. It seemed they didn't bother to give the ball to a free player, just find a one on one and you had confidence you man would win it, and most of the time they did. They also seemed to have an innate ability to know exactly what each other was going to do next. Was brilliant to watch and I haven't seen any other team ever come close to this level of cohesion and trust. This is what the boys will be aspiring towards, or should be, but unfortunately we are trying to play that game now but don't know what each other is doing and due to this don't have that trust. I do think it is slowly building, but it will be a while before we even have half of what the cats had.
  7. We didn't lose due to the coach, we lost as the put on far more pressure, that is why we have so many handballs. We couldn't match up to the pressure they applied, which was good pressure. Not much Roos can do other than tell the players to pressure in return, which they didn't.
  8. Roos was screaming on the phone for players to get back before the final bounce. It was the on field leaders who fell over at this point.
  9. Did anyone else watching on TV see Roos screaming into te phone for the players to get back? Don't think he was impressed, and that was well before the centre bounce even happened. On field leaders were deplorable at that point.
  10. I think we may need to put up a new title for this thread. I am thinking 'The Saga Continues - which single malt will it be'. All this could be followed by 'the Saga Continues - Who has the sorest head?'
  11. That's four more, so seven in total. I can see us knocking off the saints, at least once, the blues, the lions and then at least one of the bomber, pies, giants, or dogs. That's eight chances, if we get 4 I would be OK, five and I would be happy, 3 and I would be disappointed, 1 or 2 and I would be ropable.
  12. The trick is actually making the most of what is to come. I would be fairly disappointed with less than 4 wins.
  13. We have actually played 8 of the top 9 and 9 of the top 11, and won two of those games. We are not going too badly.
  14. Must admit I did. Straight over this head unfortunately.
  15. You would have to take Beelzebub just for the interest the juxtaposition with the man of cloth would provide.
  16. I may be cynical but I see Hirds motivation, as it has always been, and he has Little in his corner as Little may be in the [censored] as well, as being about legally protecting himself. If the players are banned, if they were injected with banned or unknown substances, then all board members and people in positions of responsibility (the coach) may well face many years of civil, if not criminal, proceedings. For this reason Hird and the club as a whole have not acted in the interests of the players, they are acting to protect themselves, and to do so they need to get the players off the charges. If they were acting in the players interests then they would be chasing Dank for the records as that is the only way to answer what they were given. The fact they have not done this speaks volumes!
  17. Ex Australian Cricketer from NSW who seems to have a vendetta against fair play in sport and life in general. He used to have a blog under the name 'the talking mule'. He has made this pretty much invisible to all but those who support him as it seems he didn't like the hole sin his logic being pointed out.
  18. He also seemed to ignore the fact apartheid was taking place in South Africa and was more than happy to ignore international condemnation and go there to play. Says a lot about the man really. Although on second thought, maybe there wasn't any evidence of that either!
  19. This bloke is certifiable. Is he really saying the government has bribed WADA because they in part fund WADA? News flash blubbering donkey, the government has always provided funding to WADA, I guess by that logic they, and every other country, are perpetually bribing WADA to find athletes guilty. His first few points are also not necessarily correct. The tribunal actually found that they all intended to do these exact things! His assertion that the players are the most punished in history is also laughable, does he not remember what Saddam used to do to his athletes if they made a mistake! As I said, certifiable!
  20. He was talking about the forwards competing and ensuring he was kept accountable. He didn't necessarily want a specific man on him, just that the forwards were to make sure he didn't get the easy mark, as he did over and over again. Collingwood also did very well to subtly stop our forwards getting to him, which is against the rules, but it was well hidden.
  21. Why not 6-8 wins this year? We already have three, have played most of the top of the ladder, have most of the rest of our games against those in the lower half of the ladder. Do you really think we cant get three more wins this year? I would be disappointed if we didn't beat StKilda at least once (we should win twice), and we should beat Carlton and Brisbane. There is three or four right there.
  22. This articles has more holes in logic than the abominations put forward by the blabbering donkey!
  23. The prince had a shocker and constantly tries to do too much. Losing Vanders was also massive!
  24. I obviously read 'or' very differently to you
