Be Patient with Lever
You make a good point and also ask a good question in your 3rd para Binman.

Be Patient with Lever
Understand your feelings, but I am underwhelmed by the majority of players too numerous to mention, and completely underwhelmed by our coach and coaching staff.

Be Patient with Lever
Yes, a good book but as you point out, historical fiction. Ernest loved all his wife's for a period of time. However, as a romantic with a fraught and split personality he was never fully satisfied, a feature of his being that permeated all things, not the least his own writings. There will never be a one true account of his life. Perhaps a truth that applies to all.

Be Patient with Lever
Let's not single out Lever. His current form is on a par with most of his team mates. Unlike a new recruit or a cast-off, we know Lever can play at the highest level. He was sensational in 2017. Give him time.

Caro digs up old wounds of Camp Fiasco on eve of season.
She must need to satisfy her contractural obligations of X number of articles per month. She no doubt wrote notes to herself during the summer of what would be good copy when she returned. Anyway, Caro is back doing what she does best. Raking over old coals, dramatizing the facts (including a few of her own special comments and references to sources), placing a slant on the story, and coming to a conclusion that is always qualified. But she is very skilled at it, and it makes a good read.

160th Anniversary Jumper
Like it. Cant go to far wrong with good strong colours and simple design. Just like our traditional jumper. Makes you wonder about the myriad of different alternate strips we have worn over recent years.

Injury List - Season 2018
Fair enough, you are better informed than I am. I thought that he had spent a considerable amount of time in rehab. Having said that, my main concern with Lewis this year will be his lack of pace and slowing reflexes. .

Injury List - Season 2018
probably not loges, far too logical.

Injury List - Season 2018
You would really doubt the sense of playing any player against the Cats who has niggles or who has not had recent match time, such as Lewis. We need players who can run all day and play 4 Q of high intensity footy, otherwise the Cats will run us off our feet.

What the Fritsch
Agree. Also, there was so much negativity around MFC and JW, and every season it became an issue. Almost like a curse. talked about by media, fans and no doubt players. When coaches and the club would prefer to focus on the positives and the team. It was an emphasis on the individual rather than the team. It was like this before Dusty turned the corner, although it was his off-field stuff rather than his on-field performance. The Tigers were successful last year in eliminating all the bad news story and concentrating on the team and on-field success. I am sure that Roos and then Goodwin became sick of the questions and the distraction. There was every chance that the distraction would have continued in 2018. Now that the dust has settled, I have no doubt that the JW decision was right.

What the Fritsch
Two posts use the same word, "courage" that's reassuring.

That''s the most interesting [censored] bit I have read all day. Thanks La Dee.

What the Fritsch
Hope BF has the intensity and competitiveness around the ball. Not only to get the bloody thing but also to tackle like a demon. Not run sideways watching the play. if you know what I mean.

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
Unfortunately, the lackluster fool is making a lot of money and will end up a very rich man. Whilst, the huge revenues continue to flow into AFL coffers, Gil is as safe as houses.

Injury List - Season 2018
We have to get used to some of our leading lights being sidelined. Will be a test of our depth, versatility, and finals hopes. If we can't cover absences in the early part of the season, forget about finals.

The Jack Watts in 2018 Thread
Agree, this will never be resolved between the keep him brigade and the send him to purgatory mob. Although, I reckon there are a few more fence sitters today. The judgement will rest and fall on the success or failure of the MFC or PA, and Watt's own performance. I was one of the keep him brigade, however, with his departure it feels like a veil has been lifted from the club. I will be one surprised lad if he has a stellar year after 9 years with the Demons and PA make the Granny. If his form is not up to scratch, the PA fans will make mincemeat out of him. A very unforgiving mob.

Millionaire Ex-Demon
All class, a perfect fit for the Bombers! Notice how the media is again all over the Bombers with good news stories. Also the Tigers. You wonder "who pays the Piper."

Retro gear
got to say, have always loved the demon in all its incarnations. compared to the soccer club logo and the drink coaster logo, the demon says it all in footy terms. the marketing department might want to identify with the city of Melbourne, but in footy terms it leaves me cold. to quote Checker Hughes "I want you to fight like demons""

The No T$ No B$ Thread
Not if your German Daisy. Or for that matter any other nationality. The only other observation is that Wedding is no longer the destination and if it is for some, the final destination is more likely Boring or Breakup. Not for all of us I might add. I am sure Bitter would also have whipping or thrashing in there somewhere probably after Petting but before........

Far too flattering. I understand that Uncle has gone to ground since the Craig McLaughlin allegations surfaced. Uncle does a very good impression of Frank N Furter, indeed, I am told he was approached to replace dear Craig until the production team checked out his CV and spoke to female cast members about his full audition.

"Be part of the journey" An overworked and overused phrase that is used by politicians, bureaucrats, and just about everyone else that has no conviction or passion. Perhaps they could have added ""as we go forward, be part of the journey" And perhaps qualify the slogan by stating that Rome was not built in a day. From a marketing perspective, a big fail. Bleed Red and Blue, Raise Hell or something that stirs something, anything.

The No T$ No B$ Thread
The only Gods likely to care about Uncle are pagan gods. Given the the Uncles proclivities and indulgences, it's unlikely to be Bacchus. However, given the current weather conditions it could be Thor who is definitely not happy. With the crumbling ruin known as The Manor, no doubt the good Uncle is busy making sure he has enough buckets underneath all the leaks.

Indeed Daisy, we are a multi cultural place where bananas are not always regarded as the King of the Fruits. We must not forget all religions particularly those of SE Asia. As you know I have a deep interest in spiritual matters like many on this site particularly this thread. Over recent times, I have been drawn to Buddhism and the spiritual texts of The Vedas which predate all other religious texts by 500 years. The more commonly accepted religious texts are mere new and revised editions of The Vedas. So we must not forget the Durian. Worshiped by many as the King of Fruits. Perhaps we can encourage BB to try a Durian smoothy.
