I'm not sure Trac will be ready next week, based on the Casey outing it would be hard for anyone other than Smith to get the nod. The outs discussions are interesting. ANB is certainly not at his best, and I agree that Tyson's disposal stops him from being the damaging player we need him to be. If Trac is ready, I think ANB could make way over Tyson. I think Weeds gets one more week to see what he can do. Tim Smith is lurking.

We seem to be "that club" that forwards somehow find form against. I expect him to kick a few, but he will have a tough time doing it on Omac. Oscar has been solid.

I don't think there is a team in worse form than Essendon right now. (You could argue we have worse form, valid argument) From a wins v losses perspective, going 2-4 isn't the end of the world. However, if we cannot beat Essendon right now at their flattest, I'm not sure who we could actually beat. This is a huge game for both sides. If we drop this I'm not convinced we will beat the saints the following week.

Just give him a lock down role on someone, it's not like they are going to out run him. Maybe if he is in the middle locking down players more he can build some form and become the damaging player we need him to be.

Suprise selection for me, but I like it. We need to uncover some more players, so worth a shot. Balic is a bit stiff not to be given a crack but he won't be too far off.

Jones is not the problem. His work ethic is first class, and he gives his all each game. If the other 21 players did the same we would be flying.

Might be a tad tall/slow. I think you will get quite a bit of support around Vince and Lewis not being in the same side, both have performed well below their skillset. I still think Goodwin plays one each week, but days could be numbered for both unless both reverse form ASAP. I don't have anything to offer for best 22 other than if we drop the Essendon game, we need to start getting games into players like Baker, Fritsch, Spargo to see how they handle it. It's still early, but if we can't beat Essendon we are not going to be top 8 material, and need to access the kids on the list.

Am I the only one that feels like we don't have an AFL capable depth? Talk if bringing in player a) for player b) just doesn't fill me with confidence. With the exception of Viney and Tmac I can't see how our depth is going to swing momentum. This playing group is disgustingly low in confidence and belief, and I can't see where the next win is going to come from.

Honestly, I thought this thread was an overreaction. As of right now I'm starting to think this is actually reality.

He is out of contract at seasons end and probably is a key signature going forward. He has some haters, but I think most can agree he is best 22 and he is an important signature going forward.

Geez the media is hanging it on us. Carlton, St Kilda and Brisbane must be loving us right now. I think I have read 1-2 articles a day about the team or a Dee's player since the hawthorn belting. Wattsy was ok. Good on him . Port aren't going anywhere so we should stop talking about their players.

Tmac and Viney out really hurt, but it gives us a few weeks to rotate some others through the middle and see if someone can nail compete for a spot in the front 6. Shattered they are out, but if we can manage to get by without them they become very handy mid season additions It's early, but we can't really afford another key injury.

Not even round 1 and Vanders is still wearing the indefinite tag. It feels like he has been injured for more time than he has been fit. Its going to be a long road back, feel for the bloke. McKenna seems to be in the same boat, always under the injury cloud. I do wonder if either will make it on the park this season.
