  1. As if the on field changes coming weren't enough we now have off field changes also. The entire AFL is looking more and more like Frankenstein's monster...
  2. Your mid tier guys are the guys who will win premierships. If you look at the swans teams of years gone by, and the current tigers team it is these mid tier guys across the ground that get the job done every week without fanfare. It's consistency with those guys that allows them to really put the sword to opponents.
  3. I watched a few doggies games this year due to them getting some good free to air slots and Dahlhouse didn't look anything like he has been in years gone by. Still a good player in his say but he could be on the decline.
  4. Lewis is still the better player out if him and Goddard and I suspect Lewis may struggle to hold his spot at some point next season. Goddard is done methinks
  5. If you want the job done well, send Harmes to him. Harmes is our best run with player right now.
  6. Vandenberg is a gladiator. He is one of the toughest guys in the comp He is the sort of player that gives you confidence going into any battle when he is by your side. If we are to upset anyone, he is the guy we need to be setting the standard when there is some heat in the game.
  7. No tears, but it was the first time I sang the team song with my 3yo son. I'm not one to belt it out unless I'm at the ground, but I couldn't help myself after that win.
  8. I still think he needs to go back a few steps off the mark. Tends to kick too close to the mark off a step and is often miss kicking or having kicks smothered/touched. I really like the tools he has. He could be anything he wanted to be at AFL level, but it's up to him. Some more run could make him elite. Still easily best 22 for me, but other kids have pushed past him with their development which shouldn't happen with his sublime talent.
  9. Winner - Max Gawn Second - Clayton Oliver Third - Angus Brayshaw Fourth - Tom McDonald Fifth - Neville Jetta Sixth - James Harmes Seventh - Jesse Hogan Eight - Nathan Jones Ninth - Jake Melksham Tenth - Christian Salem
  10. The West Coast sookie sookie la la las! If umpiring was the major thing they took away from this game then I feel sorry for them . They got the better number of free kicks like always, and still couldn't get it done. Maybe they should learn the game so they have something to dissect and learn from after each game. They don't hand out premiership cups for who wins the most frees each season!
  11. His tackling was a feature today, a vast improvement from when he last played at the tolp level. His aerial work is good, just need the hands to hold the marks. I'm keen to see how he goes against the Giants.
  12. Harmes - MFCs most underrated Seriously, this guy is becoming a champion. He has been smashing top end opposition players and getting heaps of his own footy. I am a massive fan, he has taken the biggest leap of the players on our list this season.
  13. Interesting on Jeffy. Ross Lyon is looking for experience, could Jeffy fit the bill? He is from WA and provided they absorb his full contract he could be had for a pick in the 50- 60s range.
  14. Maybe, just maybe Weeds put it together enough this week for him to retain his spot going into next season. He has also been working on his ruck craft which gives an extra dimension to his game that he didn't really have last season. My expectations are low, but I wouldn't be surprised if played well enough to retain his spot moving forward.
  15. We are lucky Saints and Crows have been disgustingly underwhelming this season. If they hadn't have been, the Media would be riding the Demons even harder. We have a list that should be pushing for top 4, yet here we are wondering if we will even play finals. Goody needs his team to make finals, or the noise next season around his job is going to get very loud.
  16. Honestly our selection committee have some kind of man love for Spargo. I like him, but I would be bringing in anyone else after last week's performance. I want Kent to have a run before his contract is up and we have to make a call on his future. #playkent
  17. Could just have a commemorative jersey celebrating what a disappointment of a club we have been in recent years. I'm thinking a red and blue white strip with a white flag in the middle of the jumper.... Seriously our finals hopes are on the line and we roll out some nonsense jumper.
  18. Harmes - becoming very important
  19. This club is a waste of a membership each year. [censored] weak club.
  20. Jones has been [censored] garbage. Is he wearing concrete blocks on his feet???
  21. Billy's and Nibblers careers have gone in opposite directions this season. Easy to forget that Stretch had played more career AFL games than Nibbler at the conclusion of last season. Both drafted same year, Stretch was the first to really show promise out of the two. Fast forward to now, and it is Nibbler who is the mainstay in the team. Hopefully Billy can turn it around and both boys can be mainstays in the demons team that should be playing finals for a few seasons ahead.
  22. Still a damaging player when he gets on the park. I do wonder if he comes back to Vic whether he would be willing to forgo dollars to join the MFC. I think he has one 3-4 year contract left in him, so I imagine not.
  23. In Bendigo league. Still have an ok seniors side but haven't dominated for a while. They are 6th currently from memory.
  24. Frost getting the nod to take on Buddy is huge!
  25. I'm still optimistic about Pat McKenna. A good mate of mine was involved with Gisborne FC when he was playing there and he swears by him as a gun talent. I have never seen him play, but my mate is a pretty good judge of football talent so his opinion carries weight with me. I would be shattered if we don't give him one more year to see what he is made out of.
