i don’t think you expect an emotional response 6 months later. Lions were terrible in round 1 and they responded the week later. i expect a similar response next week. Footy is a crazy game, we cannot explain everything. Port beat lions by 50 and lions beat us easily so port are way better than us? no. it’s more complicated. Judge us over a couple of months. dropping a game away to arguably the flag favourites is no disaster. so no, i don’t think friday was a huge issue. we move on. i think a lot of us overestimated our team after round 1 and are now overreacting to round 2

cmon mate. a club is allowed to trade out older players if they reckon they are up for a rebuild.

so why not accuse them of tanking in December last year? the results this year were obvious trading players out for a re build is not tanking

pretty simple. it’s deliberately playing to lose. or coaching making moves to throw the game. trading out senior guys for draft picks is not tanking. or do you think it is?

it is easy. you don’t need to educate players to lose or change players into weird positions trade out good senior players and teach the kids to win. not tanking. i wish we did it the right way but we move on
