  1. I feel as if ( and I may be totally wrong ) Max is enjoying making a nuisance of himself in our forward line and trying to overload the opposition backmen with options to cover. Now that he has got a taste for kicking goals, he has to satiate himself each game.

Greater time in the forward line probably ensures he  runs games out strongly which is a massive bonus for the team too.

Who keeps instructing players to TRIP.  It looks terrible and is quite dangerous and happens almost as much as pushing in the back..

As the more ' experienced " members of demonland will clearly recall,  in the old days, ' Attempting to trip " was a reportable offence and players would be scrubbed out for doing it.

Nowadays, it gets the occasional free kick paid or not ( see Jayden Hunt V Gold Coast ) and never provokes a suspension.

    YAY!!! I just realised I lost $100 !!!

Had it on that pack of losers and I’ve never been happier to lose $$$. Well, not since the last time we beat them 😁 🤩🥳👹🤗❤️💙

PS: I had a beer again  and now I’m not sure but I think I might be an alcoholic now.🥴

WCW, don't forget that you're not an alcoholic unless you regularly drink alone, and you're never alone if the cat Is in the house.

The players in danger of being delisted at the end of the year would likely be MBrown, JMelksham, MHibberd,

Basically anyone with an Essendon connection

    Goodwin. ???? ...........Zaharakis ........ ???

  5. Don't undersell ANB's leadership qualities either. He is a player with a 'team first' ethos which has been the making of the current team and he keeps others focussed on the task at hand when the game is still to be won. He's been through the real hard times, improved his game to another level and, though he'll have a quieter game, he never throws in the towel.

  6. Let's not blame Hunt for being tripped by the suns player, coughing the ball up for an oppo goal. That's down to umpire incompetence.

And as much as I and many others would love to see Weideman succeed, I simply cant see ( at present) how he even cracks it for a game. The  guy needs the patience of Job to hang around the club.

When i was growing up there were Barry Manilow records in the house.
    it was traumatizing

But did you have Polka Party or Smacka Fitzgibbon's Housewarming Party in your collection??

We did and I suffered too, like you Sir WYL !!

    Perhaps moreso !

Wasn't convinced with Hunt last week, I was by Smith but I guess we are playing GC who will be quite quick.

This is a bit harsh on Hunt.

He got involved, spoiling, picking up possessions, tackling, two way running. He did enough to retain his spot.

  9. I almost choked on my Corn Flakes the other day when I heard the Essendon coach Brett Rutten say of their smashing at the hands of the Cats  " We didn't see that coming "

Now where have I heard that said before by an AFL coach ??

What other Neeld influence has rubbed off on the Bombers ?

No but do we need Lever, Tomlinson, May and Petty in the same backline?

If Tomlinson is playing good footy and Tmac struggles up forward as he did second half of last season and Weideman is giving us nothing, why wouldn’t you try Petty?

He is too good to play VFL.

You wouldn't play Lever, Tomlinson, May and Petty together in the backline in  the same match if it means you omit one of Rivers or Bowey, unless it was about team balance or match ups.

As  much as we want our best six defenders each week, this injury affected start enables us to trial peripheral or second tier defenders to see what they bring. The thing is we already know what their expected to do and they usually do it in our system.

Will be interesting to see if Lever or Rivers get up for this game, or if they will give them another week.

I saw Rivers is training with the main group today, albeit with his knee heavily strapped.

Would rather they ensure they are both cherry ripe before playing them.

I don't want either of these playing until they are absolutely 100%

Saying that it would be great to see both in for the Essendon game

Apparently Hunter isn't in the Doggies' side.

Possibly practising his limbo dancing? Or driving practice/lessons?

Am I the only one that can't stand that bloke?

Someone broke into our house on the weekend and stole our limbo sticks .

How low can you go ??????
