Good luck to the young fella! This guy reminds me of Dusty Fletcher,
If he plays anything like he did last week, Buddy will slaughter us.

Shaun Atley and Nths pick 11 for MFC pick 2
They will want to get Angus Brayshaw.
Eh, I'll pass thanks.

Tex Walker played today, pulled up good.
He's been a favourite of mine ever since his 2012 year, I actually jokingly tweeted to him over a year ago saying to him to come to the dees. Now with his two best mates at Melbourne and with our key forward retired, let's go and try to get him over. -
Nooooooo!
I thought there was some kind of rule about declaring teenagers as 'future captains'?
Jack Trengove,
Brock Mclean
Brad Miller
Scott Thompson
Any other recent ones I've missed?
The problem with Trengove is that he WAS a captain, far too young.

Last year we kept Ablett to his lowest-possession game of last year, when we were a much worse side than we are right now.
Nothing is impossible, never say never. -
First time we have beaten a victorian side (apart from Essendrug or 9thmond) in a very long time....

I'm also glad to see that Dawes isn't a late change for once!
-
Evans as the sub
Which means we get JKH for 4 quarters!!!
Also late change: Mitch Robinson OUT Nick Graham IN -
It seems to me if you change the name of the club you'd start winning games???? Who didn't think of this earlier???????

Don't know if it's worth much, but Clark just drove right past me looking fairly relaxed. I'm not far from AAMI Park, and he might just live in the area.. coincidence? Probably.
You can look something and feel something completely different, wouldn't look into it deeply though.

lets's use this #1 draft pick wisely please.

Didn't Clark kick 3 goals in that match last year?
Correct, forget he actually played a few games last year tbh.
Nice theory, but the West Coast of 2014 is leagues ahead of the West Coast of 2013. They were crippled by season long injuries last year, just as we seem destined to be this year.
Touche, good point. I expect to lose but I'm hoping it's not by much.
-
We were with West Coast right up until 3rd quarter last year, with no forwards then either. With a better MFC team anything is possible.
I still don't like our chances sadly, but I'm just being a bit optimistic. -
Apparently Watts trained away from the main group.

Parents weren't even born yet, they arrived 9/10 years later. Gotta feel for my old man, been waiting since '73 to see Melbourne win a GF, still wonders if he ever will.
I remember watching the 2000 GF on a deck chair in the loungeroom, hadn't even turned 5 y/o yet, and I was still shattered we lost.
Can't forget the night we lost against Freo in the finals of '06, I cried that whole night. Still waiting for another finals appearance.-

Oh boy am I loving this talk of how crap Collingwood, Richmond and Sydney are an AFL 360

Cannot see him replacing Byrnes
I can see him easily replacing Byrnes, I don't rate Byrnes overly high tbh.

It's Demons or bust for me, I couldn't imagine myself supporting another club.
Even through the tough times of recent years, I still love this club and I always will.-

As people have mentioned, overrated, very overrated. I'd much rather us look at getting Fyfe for 800k per year. Gawn will step up and so will the other Max, King, we'll be right with our rucks.
-
Usually there would be a training report pretty much straight after training finishes.
I haven't read a report in a fair few weeks, I know one week it was only closed sessions I'm pretty sure, but it's pushing 3-4 weeks since I last saw an actual training report... -
-
Now we play the waiting game for Hogan's scan results...
-
If it takes a little more time for our forwards to actually be 100% injury free, then so be it. Let's be honest with ourselves, we aren't finals contenders, we have time to get everything right and not rush every injured player back. As previously mentioned, if it was our mids who were starting to crumble and fade then yes I'd be worried, but in the meantime we do still have Fitzy, Howe, JKH, etc, in the forward line, it isn't completely kaputt. Hogan will be back, Dawes will be back, and so will Clark. When will they play together is not answerable at the moment, but it will happen, we are in good hands.
Just think how great it's going to be beating the Saints Rnd 1, I'm 100% confident for the first time in god knows.

I love Terls because he tries. Yes, he has pretty ordinary kicking and not the best of skill, but he tries his best week in and week out, which is why he gets games.
