  1. boof has brought back a language & culture, easily understood by ours at a sub level, without thinking out aloud to themselves. just an instinctive way of things which allows natural play to resume & harmony to return.

It's conveyed above all by the way the coach is present. Nick on Demonology used to refer to Neeld in his training reports as "The Invisible Man", because he was so often absent and not very interactive when present. Roos is already showing something different - present, talking, teaching, overseeing without interfering. It's not just the words, it's the music.

  2. Nathan is a product of his history, even a victim of it. I'm not saying he deserves our compassion, because compassion is something you give to people even when they don't deserve it. But if he is punished, it won't be for his history, it will be for assault.

  3. Plenty of people find it wrong, tatu, just read the thread. The thing is, it's a staple of tabloid current affairs, the self-righteous pursuit of people who don't want to be "interviewed", and it always finds an audience. You don't have to watch dumbed-down, nasty TV, but it's a reliable avenue for advertisers to reach particular demographics, so it's not going away.

  4. As long as all players are fit I think you will find you need a best 30, the best team have.around 26 players that could fit in their best 22.

Absolutely right. It's ridiculous to concentrate on the best 22, when injury, illness, suspension and match-up requirements mean that you will always be drawing from at least 26, more likely 28. Dismissing some of those players as "depth" may feel good when you type it, but it's a little out of kilter with the actual way a team has to be managed.

  5. Strauss and Blease at least have attributes that could be considered elite in kicking and pace respectively, which makes it worth persisting with them. Jetta has nothing.

Jetta has the attitude that Roos loves, so he's being given time to see if his game will develop under skilful coaching. If not, he's gone. Strauss and Blease have a year to show that they're more than one-trick ponies. Much as I love seeing Nev tackle and Sam take the game on, I don't expect to see any of them in 2015.

  6. We can get back up there i believe.

40,000 is very achievable. We're at 21,309 now, well ahead of last year, could easily make 25k by Christmas - they're calling it "the Roos factor" in the club. A decent start in the pre-season games and the early rounds and it will be 40k+.
