  1. Any chance we might get a message down from the coaching box today to stop over-possessing the ball?
  2. FMD if we don't beat the bloody Gold Coast Suns seconds....
  3. There is no situation where Grimes is a part of any "deals" with other clubs. He is a free agent, and would be a delisted free agent even if he didn't reach FA eligiblity. No club will give up currency for him.
  4. Please just lock this thread. There is no way our coaches will touch Vickery.
  5. Well, everyone turns into superstars against Brisbane. They really are [censored], to put it mildly. Quite amusing to hear the AFL has ruled out any draft assistance despite their plight, and the drug cheats getting pick 1.
  6. I swear, watching other clubs makes me go certifiably insane sometimes. St Kilda, that midget-burning basketcase with the perennial wool over us regardless of coach, players and gamestyle, have kicked 3 goals in an entire match, well into the fourth quarter against a thoroughly average team we nearly defeated. Why are we so consistently bad against this mob... every... single... time!? It's infuriating!!!!!!!! AGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just want to scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Trading Ablett would be the best thing Gold Coast could have ever done... 2 years ago. Now though? Nobody will a) pay for him with draft picks and b) pay his massive salary, to make turfing him out worthwhile. Just imagine what they would've gotten 2 years ago, not to mention the salary cap space.
  8. I really don't want St Kilda to play finals but I would love to see Boomer lose his milestone match, especially after spending the whole week talking about how much he loves himself.
  9. I don't like the treatment of ANB by the selection panel either, but he's clearly not doing what the coaches are instructing (whatever that is).
  10. Grimes will not play another game for the MFC. He will, however, be picked up by another club. Richmond almost certainly is first in line.
  11. Knew the Pies would get up. The Eagles are such downhill skiing pretenders... infuriating that we lost last week; relocate that game to the 'G and I bet we would've won without the BS one-sided umpiring and, probably, more accurate kicking.
  12. I think any club would be irresponsible (from a list management perspective) to sign either of these players on the dollars they're seeking. They'd know as well as anyone the question mark over their bodies and their ability to reach potential; it strikes me as a manager playing, "which club is gullible enough to pay my client mega-dollars despite a notorious inability to get on the paddock?" A bit like Tom Boyd being way out of his depth in AFL but sucking in the Dogs with that ludicrous contract offer. Not to mention how desperately the Dogs wanted revenge on the Giants for the Griffen poaching; Prestia's manager is playing the Tigers like a fiddle because he knows how desperately Richmond want that "big fish" after the Treloar embarrassment last year. Of course, everyone else can see that selling the farm for Prestia, both in salary cap and draft picks, is one of the most short-sighted list management decisions a club could make in their position.
  13. Don't worry Richmond, you've got Yarran back next season! The perennial downhill skiier with disciplinary issues...
  14. Finishing 9th will be remembered as "the good old days" for Richmond fans in the coming years.
  15. I don't know why we'd touch O'Meara after the Clark debacle. Players who routinely get injuries are too risky for lowly clubs; easy to take a punt when you're already in the top 4 each year.
  16. You seriously want to go to this club, Prestia? Hope the money's worth it.
  17. But.. but.. Weideman was the new Lucas Cook last week!
  18. It's pretty obvious he just inserted outright lies in his book to generate publicity which = sales. Nobody will give two shits about this little rat once he retires, and he will be remembered for the sniping, pathetic, whinging, selfish [censored] he is.
  19. The only person who loves this snot-nosed rodent more than his wife would be himself. This selfish twit has ruined the development of so many draftees by taking up a spot on the Roos' list. Miserable years are certainly ahead for North, so it's a downright tragedy that Harvey already secured his premiership; would've been heartwarming to see him play over 400 games and never achieve success. Oh well.
  20. I dunno... We've invested the time and energy into building a women's team and competition, I feel the mother/son eligiblity is a fair reward for all the resources we've poured into it. While other clubs did submit womens team proposals, let's be under no illusions that many clubs were completely uninterested despite overflowing with money (Hawthorn).
  21. The insinuation that Fox commissioned this as a publicity stunt is asinine. Yeah, one of the AFL's key stakeholders conspired to allow a guest to tear apart their most respected journalist, as well as other Fox presenters, while trashing the AFL repeatedly on wide-ranging modern issues like expansion and women in footy. Mike was clearly disturbed and uncomfortable throughout the attacks, though he did a commendable job holding it together in the circumstances. He clearly did not expect to be told to die of cancer or end up as a body in a ditch in Coober Pedy. Sheahan continually tried to stay on topics about Jacko's career but was endlessly derailed. You could see the moments Mike wanted to unleash but held himself back, quite professionally. It was actually refreshingly raw for an Open Mike interview, presumably presented uncut if they're telling the truth.
