Yeah it's a bit pathetic. Might not have been BOG for us, but he was huge on Saturday, in a game nobody expected us to win, at the opposition's home ground, after 3 consecutive wins, after a 12 year losing record, and we only had to fight and scrape every tooth and nail to get over the line. Being BOG when you're playing against Carlton is hardly much to write about. The more deserving young players are the ones who grab the game by the nads and bring their team with them against all the odds. And yes, I'd use the same argument for the players who won the rising star nom when playing against us in the first few rounds. Hardly indicative of real talent when you're playing against witches hats (yes, I'm referring to our pre-Dawes form). JKH, at pick 40, and in a team like ours is obviously the far more noteworthy recipient, but you know, we're Melbourne and this other guy plays for Colonwood, so, like, it's obviously going to them, especially given how impressive and unexpected their win was against the stunningly in-form Carlton. *sigh*

And they wonder why people are turning away from the game in droves.

I'm guessing Garland for Georgiou and that's about it. If Viney gets rubbed out, whoever performed well at Casey. Toump/Kent?

Viney, Salem, Tyson, JKH. There's the building blocks of a solid core midfield. Throw in Riley and Michie for good measure. Can't wait to see what Roos does with another trade period or two.

Accidental doesn't matter with high contact, hence the outrage at the Fyfe ruling in round 1. It's a broken system.

Ahh, I know how the umpires are working. For every 5 [censored] soft frees they give to Adelaide, they'll give us 1 inside 50 that leads to a goal. That's fair!

If JKH had kicked those two goals, he's the NAB Rising Star nominee. Let's hope he can grab a few in the next half, they usually go to winning teams, and this is quite the upset! What happened with Salem? Subbed on and then subbed off? How does that work?

Because he won't be able to run out four quarters just yet. Roos' initiation with JKH was spot on, and he should continue with Salem. Don't be surprised if Salem's out of breath by 3QTR time.
