  1. It seems fairly clear that Dangerfield doesn't want to come to us. Picks 2&3 will be more likely used on Shiel and Brawshaw. There is also an inkling that our major recruit will come from left field and this Dangerfield stuff is a smokescreen - Jeremy Cameron seems to be keeping a low profile and I wouldn't be surprised if something is going on there.
  2. That's all very well but it doesn't excuse the way he played this year. If he gave his all and showed leadership instead of protecting himself for next year I might have more respect.
  3. Wonder if Jeff Kennett is embarrassed about telling Clarkson he should move on now he's got 2 more flags. Stupid [censored]. Thank God we didn't get him as president.
  4. Currently in Istanbul. Have spied a couple of huge, hairy, moustachioed Ottoman Turks in the Hammam who I reckon would go alright in our backline. They would do a mean " don't argue ".
  5. You would want to be first. coach of an expansion side - one way ticket to obscurity.
  6. All this makes sense. Would explain Frawleys delay in announcing his intentions. Who are you referring to with the points about lack of player development and any backwards slide would leave an irreparable mess? Is it us, GWS or the Bulldogs?
  7. Would love someone from Sicily to sort this o Would love someone from Sicily to sort this out for us.
  8. To quote Dennis Cometi it could be a case of premature celebration.
  9. Good result. One of the most consistent performers and highly under rated. Also the best hair on a winner since The Rat, John Platten.
  10. There are many ways of reaching a binding agreement. The cats aren't stupid.
  11. I still believe Chip has had at least a verbal agreement with a club in place from early in the year, probably Geelong. The rest is smoke and mirrors
  12. Think the move away from Alberton to the Adelaide Oval came at the right time. Corresponded to a new coach and high profile president. All the stars were in conjunction. Also their fitness Guru is top of the tree and the recruiting has been A1. Jealous as hell. Grrrr.
  13. No point in getting rid of Fitz. Will get nothing for him and love his agility and speed. Still very young and his development has probably been delayed by the previous inadequate football department. Showed a bit in the last 2 games. Also had to learn to cope with diabetes, and that issue should not be underestimated.
  14. And an awesome character. Has leadership written all over him.
  15. Eventhough I have made it clear my dislike of his attitude and behaviour I believe wishing him any harm is repugnant,
  16. This combined with a history of burning 3 clubs provides good circumstantial evidence of his prickedness.
  17. I'm glad that wiser heads than mine are in charge of this situation at the club. You are right that the administration take a non- emotional practical stance and negotiate the best outcome for us, perhaps seeing it as an advantage to push our case for a priority pick. However as a supporter I reserve the right to be outraged at the duplicity, manipulation and cynical disloyalty of a former favourite son.
  18. It doesn't take much to read between the lines of the comments made by Voss and Ross Lyons. Also it is hardly a secret that the club have been less than happy with his behaviour.
  19. Because there are layers to this story that can't be made clear on this forum.
  20. It may be tactical to have him trained by us - to see what sort of shape he's in. May be his fitness is below par and that's why not much was offered.I still think his behaviour and attitude stinks.
  21. I likes it
