I love watching Jack play and would be staggered if he didn't play round 1. He was a large part of our improvement last year. Intensity has always been the issue and I would guess this is Goodwins way of ramping it up. I do find it strange though that the coach has been silent throughout this. Hopefully he will be picked against Carlscum, play a blinder and it will all blow over.
I think there is enough reportage to now say that there is some substance to the rumour. Sounds like Goodwin is making a statement and that is not a bad thing. Looks like anyone not giving 100% will given a kick in the arse, no matter who they are.
Hogan looks so much more relaxed and he seems to have lightened up. Great signs that he has settled and bought in to the future of the team. He really is an imposing figure up forward.
Bit harsh on O Mac - I thought he played a really good game and I don't remember any poor disposals. T Mac looked a bit rusty but he is coming back from shoulder surgery.
I really hope the forgotten man Garland does put his hand up - I feel sorry for all the players of the post Reverend/ pre Roos era. Their careers have been cruelled.
