  1. Man, was this a journey
  2. Geelong can be July premiers, that's fine
  3. When we were a crap team it never occurred to me that our supporter trauma would be most on display after we'd become successful.
  4. Can't imagine our standards allowing one player to not train, all the while being paid more than most on the list. However, as a playing-forward coach, two years to teach JVR... it's a tempting thought
  5. Been using it for years. Works a treat.
  6. Yea but no May should be taken off him 🤦‍♂️
  7. Good, gutsy effort. Our midfield is just mint. One of my favourite moments of the day was David King saying that Steven May needed to be dragged or taken off Walker. Gave me a good laugh, that did. Oh, and club record intercepts marks 👏
  8. The kind of deep analysis all other channels lack. Bravo
  9. Of all the news about our club this year, this and the whole 11-3 part are the two surest indicators of what's up. Absolutely rapt. Clarrie til 2030. Just massive.
  10. It's a fair point, but personally I would put the connection Tasmanians feel towards a team they rightly deserve as more improtant than the so-called dilution of the talent pool. The existence GWS and GCS automatically negates that being a major issue. Not like we will stop watching footy if each team gets a bye. I would personally also aim for a NT team a few years later and pump money into developing players and social programs in the top end (as well as Tassie).
  11. Don't worry @Nasher, I got this... What have you got against Tassie? Tassie don't want them.
  12. Gee certain posters must have lost their DL login details for the first 10 rounds but all remembered them 3 weeks ago. Settle, petals.
  13. New life experience: appreciating the phrase 'banking wins early' on a whole new level.
  14. I have more and more time for Buckley. On SEN with Gerard, after the latter waxes lyrical about how good the Blues are, Bucks goes: 'We are talking bout the undefeated premiers, Melbourne, right?
  15. The AFL once again neglecting its European based supporters for whom twighlight GF timing is clearly better. Typical. s/ (I've drunk [censored] at 5am for a Hawks Swans grannie, I can bloody oath do it for a Dees one)
  16. Yea I struggled with that too. What an absolute money-grubbing self-fellator that bloke is.
  17. Shut down the internet, we got where we needed to go. Love all of this. Love premiership player BBB and love that he's racking up his 150th in red and blue
  18. How good has BBB's ground level work been lately? Few games in a row he's kicked goals on the move, roving off or around a pack. I wonder if it's that his fitness levels have allowed him to execute skills he's always had, or whether he's been doing specific work on it. Prob both. Anyway, it's noticeable and I bloody love it.
  19. Mum's from Perth, Dad's Melbourne. As a 4 year old I wanted to follow eagles (kids are [censored] stupid) but the old man threw a Dees jumper on me for my first Vickick session, rusted on since. I remember '94 wondering why Schwarta wasn't able to rip the prelim apart. Lived in Perth for uni years during the swans-eagles era and cannot feel an ounce of pity for this lot. I agree with @binman that we will hold them at 40 and not spend tickets smashing them and that is fine. Cos the Dees rock and the Eagles can go and cook meth in a bathtub in Bayswater.
  20. Big test for the puddies tonight. Reckon Brisbane will run them off their feet and, unlike Collingwood, will be able to sustain it for the 4 quarters. Would love to see the Suns do the Blues in. Reckon that would cause a rupture in the narrative-scape that might just see AFL media eat its own tail.
  21. This was wonderful, thank you
  22. This is what I am here for. P.s love your work
  23. Fair enough! 😉 Go Dees
  24. I would suggest it's worth keeping in mind Burgo's philosophy (which is also Selwyn's I assume). That is to create endurance and resilience in players by playing through stiffness, soreness etc. If you haven't, I can highly recommend listening to the Brukkie and Burgo podcast after the GF in which he goes into it.
