  1. I see what you mean but not 100% sure I agree. I reckon you can still be tough without the 'tough stickers'. I think Jeremy Howe has a few doesn't he? Each to their own.
  2. Agree with you. For mine that was the most frustrating part of our game yesterday. In tight congestion our players ALWAYS look to take possession - they then get tackled and prolong the congestion (that or get pinged for holding it). Players need to be more aware of what's around, quite often there's an opportunity to tap to advantage. The good teams do this, I haven't seen us have those smarts for a while.
  3. Was it the one where he not only rode the bump but looked to use it to his advantage and knock him back to his feet and away from the contest? That was the one that impressed me.
  4. What about the contested pack mark????
  5. With all these frees to Maxy, he has one hand on the Brownlow.
  6. Wish that umpiring would happen every week. 27 free kicks to 11. Can't recall ever seeing that before.

  8. So all those training drills with less defenders than attackers were actually defensive drills. Appears to be our new structure.

  10. It's not only the timezone, just sayin....
  11. I'd be more worried if his managers first name was Ben.
  12. Hawks would have to add to their yellow and brown colours. Perhaps orange - for the carrot.
  13. So with a new comp starting up, what happens to the current Melbourne and Bulldogs players? Will they be dispersed among the new teams, or will we be able to keep them and the other teams find their own talent?
  14. Have always liked him but thinking back to the 'aaarrggghhhh' moments, I really would have thought a best position for him would be far, far away from the boundary line. Not a wing.
  15. I have a sneaking suspicion we might see a lot more of that this season. Big Maxy might just take the AFL world by storm this year. One step at a time of course, first the right then the left then the right again in very quick succession.......
  16. Don't know if anyone has spotted this yet? http://www.afl.com.au/video/2016-02-15/dees-match-simulation-from-up-above
  17. Nothing to do with the concussion, but it amazes me from that photo that a player could be in the AFL system for the years he had and not put on an ounce of muscle. How is that possible?
  18. Well put, they aren't called the poos and wees by accident!
  19. Saty, was just hoping to clarify when you say he's still growing. He's as tall as a giraffe, do you mean he's filling out, or is he actually still growing vertically?
  20. In the AFL 'IT', it is never that simple. Decisions more often than not come down to the colours you're wearing.
  21. And he had a good sense of humour as well. Will always remember 'The Nate Myles Effect', although it's probably not all that PC. With him gone the general standard of commentary will plummet.
