Really don't know what to expect.. Exactly like the saints game. Telling myself we are going to lose to avoid the depressive state that would follow but deep down feeling we will win.. Like every game of football, it will be won or lost in the middle. They may have "dangerwood" but our midfield runs deeper & we will dominate the ruck

1) I was referring to the AFL as a whole when saying he is a better kicker of the football than most his ruckman, especially those who are around his height. 2) Once again I'll say he isn't a below average kick ? Like I said he is pretty reliable infront of goal. I agree he shouldn't be played forward but to say he is an ordinary kick is incorrect.
-
Um what ? He is pretty reliable around goal when shooting from 30m & his field kicking is better than any ruck of his size in recent memory...
-
I would actually prefer Taylor plays forward.. From all reports him moving to defence last week was a big reason they got back into the game. I don't see him as a permanent forward so would rather him up there. Having said that he'll probably come out and kick 6 now

Don't understand the no love for Pedersen. He has filled in for Hogan well previously, he always creates a contest & provides a marking target to kick too, he works hard & albeit his not blessed with pace he make his presence felt at ground level too. You know what you'll get from him, now is not the time to try an unknown Smith & I don't like the idea of 2 rucks at Etihad.. Pedersen in for Hogan is a no brainer, unless we go small which sounds good in theory until Lonergan, Mackie, Taylor (if he stays back) mop up every high ball inside 50. We lacked a lead up target across half forward last week, our midfielders & half backs had nothing to kick too.. Pedersen will give us that option, it sounds stupid but he actually hits up the kicker better than Hogan does, who likes to try & get into a 1 on 1 tussle. Edit: not to mention he can ruck and lets our 2nd best goal kicker (Watts) stay permanently inside 50

What's got me more gobsmacked is how in the world they assessed Scott Thompson's elbow to the face of Dangerfield as low impact & Lewis & Hogans as medium ? Ask 100 people what they'd prefer a 100kg mans elbow full weight falling into your head or an open palm/semi fist to the jaw... 99 would say the latter....

Hogan got 3 down to 2, can accept 2 games
-
No chance we appeal, no clubs do anymore.. The AFL has made it so you have to accept their rubbish. Facial you can't plead your case without the risk of further weeks
-
Hogan is 3 down to 2.. lol what a joke
-
Hogans gone... Very similar to the Tom Hawkins one last year. The vision of Lewis isn't so conclusive but wouldn't be surprised if he gets a week too.. Both absolute stupidity & let their frustrations get the better of them. Poor to have 3 players rubbed out in 2 weeks for similar stupid acts
-
That is an absolute joke... Worse then when Port used the banners. How embarrassing
-
My god we have had some horrendous results in round 2 over the years.. Each one so bad in their own way. Let's hope we are the sidr handing out a flogging for once!

Why are people worried about the possibility of a first gamer 3rd tall forward taking us to the cleaners ? Carlton should be worried IF we pick Mckay how can we stop this ballastic, fast paced Melbourne side... We will run them off their feet with or without their 3rd tall forward.. If they play one then it just plays into our hands even more
-
Can accept 1 week... Don't agree with it but why do it Bernie.. Stupid & his a repeat offender
-
Carlton has no forward line so we don't have to worry... Tyson in for Smith, not a like for like but Tyson can only improve the midfield depth and there is no alternative down back to replace Smith, those calling for Wagner are delusional, played 1 half of a practice match 5 weeks ago, no chance. Out: Smith In: Tyson

April fools is next week

I also purchased the $15 tickets & it gives your reserved seating so it will get you into the ground as normal. To others asking, it is no membership upgrade just a special "away team" area. $15 gets you a reserved seat level 1 near the goals, presumably next to the demon cheer squad
-
Absolute bargain the $15 level 1 reserved tickets... Bit skeptical about level 1, I almost always sit top level regardless of the stadium, find you can see the play unfold better... But for $15 & no stress having to rock up early to GA for a decent seat, can't say no.

Without seeing too much of him from all reports atlanta are wrapt with the Poe signing... Think the superbowl broke me, don't have the usually enthusiasm.. Maybe more focused on round 1 next weekend aswell
-
Anyone had any issues with trying to purchase tickets for round 1 ? Just tried to book some on level 3 through ticketmaster but it says there is nothing matching my search... Just wondering if anyone else has had problems
-
We beat GWS round 1 last year ?
-
Anyone know where I can catch a replay online ? Hoping to get home in the early hours of tonight/tomorrow morning and watch the game.

Good get... He was my preferred choice to replace Shanahan

That's the thing I'm most disappointed about, beating sides like Green Bay, Seattle isn't easy & you've got sides like Dallas who will improve again. If your Vikes get healthy & have a good run their going to be a good side.. It's going to be so hard to get back there & so so many things have to go your way & we blew a golden opportunity...

Been feeling down all day today... I can't imagine how those lifelong Atlanta fans who've waited 51 years must be feeling or the players for that matter. I saw a stat last night, since 2001.. 394 teams have trailed by 25+ points in games & only 3 including the Pats yesterday have gone on to win. Also at the 11 minute mark of the 4th quarter with Atlanta leading 28-12 & the having the ball, they were rated a 99.6% chance to win!!! How in the world does a side have a 0.4% chance to win a game & actually do it.. Unbelievable. I knew, I just knew when they got the score back to 16 points & it was a 2 score game it was over... I could see it coming...
