It is common that clubs with a well run player welfare program let players visit home (should it be interstate) during the year.
Relax.
Plus the 8 day break makes it an ideal time to do this

As far as $ are concerned, the Herald Sun are reporting it could be up to $2.5mil over 4 years, depending on bonuses for b&f and brownlow finishes

I'm certainly feeling more confident he will stay, at least for the short term (3-5 year). It gives us time to prove we are a finals threat, or freo time to prove they are rebuilding properly.

We already have Oliver... you don't have to choose between them.
Why wouldn't you have both if given the chance?

Big call. Cripps is an absolute gun. One thing in Oliver's favour is he'll end up being physically bigger.
Cripps is 193cm (same height as Nick Reiwoldt) and 90kg... and is only 22. He is a physical beast

Others have said it before, but Weideman training with Hogan everyday can only help his development

Dont read too much into the positions listed. They had Grimesthorpe lining up at FF for a couple of weeks there

I'd kind of laugh if Melbourne and the Dogs missed out on a license. Would be an absolute injustice.
It's entirely possible. With only 4 melbourne teams, it would mean only 2 of collingwood, Richmond, North, carlton and essendon would get licences. Not too mention geelong.
I think maybe one of these teams hasn't bid, bit I am a bit worried

Couldn't see this posted anywhere. Effectively rules Trenners out of senior action for the forseeable future.
Wonder what he needs to do to prove he is ready?

None really. Just thought it was a strange comparison but the stats indicate that they had similar debuts.
Doesn't show contestep possessions, and how many tackles did toumpas lay?

Have youse seen Gold Coast,? shocking tonight, and it's very hot and they must go home and recover, quietly confident they won't turn a 100 point loss around next week.
Or, they will be burnt by tonight and come out and smash us

They do need someone experienced though, i wonder if the Pies or Tigers would appeal to someone like Bomber Thompson

anything about melee fines?
Dunn, Hunt, Salem and maybe 1 or 2 others fined. Jones fined for wrestling in the 2nd quarter.

If he misses a week, reckon Petracca will get his go

And can I just say... Jayden Hunt! #wow

Hate it when good teams play great footy and say they have so much room for improvement. But we are winning, and winning well, and have SOOOOOO much room for improvement

Replay of the quarter time scuffle- Dunn started it and Hunt ran in like he was in the hundred metre sprint! Hhaah [censored] love it!
Actually reckon it was Vickery trying to rough up a guy half his size (Salem) that started it. #hero

FWIW, Adams was fined $1000 for rough conduct against harmes

And Kent was a close second.
Kent was actually first but had a fresh airy with the elbow then went back for more. Good thing too

Not too sure about that: may have the Samson affect!
Otherwise I'd love him at the Dee's (but unfortunately I don't think it will happen).
Me either. Probably the most likely to stay, next captain and comes from a family of bombers diehards

While I understand that the majority of the talk will be about essendon's win, does anyone else think that the club and coaches are getting off easily when it comes to the media? I really want them to come out and absolutely blast us, but they just don't care.
Would it make any difference?

Welcome Number 1 draft pick.
What a disgusting performance & most embarrassing performance in any AFL game in history.
Make no mistake this was a club with a bunch of old hacks, little or no pre season & 2 years of turmoil. How the club can be so insignificant for so long without serious question amazes me
No #1 pick, our first rounder goes to GC

2018 premiers to wooden spooners in the space of a week!
Seriously. Get a grip.
I think they have Nasher. We are much closer to wooden Spooners than premiers

Once again we are a laughing stock. We have lost any respect we had built over the preseason. No matter who we beat now, people will always through this loss back in our face

The most important thing Glenn and the board can do is back PJ, Roos and Goodwin. Their support allows these three to do the really important stuff
