Contracts are meaningless if a player wants to leave a club. Why would you want to pay someone if their heart is no longer in it?

Placing Michie on the rookie list again is a waste of time. The club should take a leap of faith by placing Joel Smith on the senior list. White also should be given a go. Dawes too much of a dinosaur,needs to be let go. Hopefully Spencer could find a new home,he has reached his use by date. Newton and M.King your'e fired.

If we can get Lewis and Hibberd without giving up this year's 2nd rounder,I would say that's great. Just keep our fingers crossed.

We can't afford to give up pick 27 for Hibberd,because we will lose our 2nd rd pick in the kiddy draft. If Essendon accepts a 2nd rd draft for next year as we have offered then that would be great. Hibberd should be able to walk without any compensation becaue of the drug saga.

Pedo as a back up ruckman is a bit small at 193 cm and he doesn't have a great leap. Weid,O'Mac are around 196 cm mark why not use one of them as the 2nd ruck/forward.Ruck work can be beneficial for some players as it improves confidence and add versatility. Otherwise we need to recruit a young who we don't need to beef up.

I am all for us to dump Casey and the development squad (too many byes).Our 2nds are called the Demons anf if we need 3rds they could a affliated club or academy as long as there are the same number of teams as the 2nds,no odd no.of teams thus reducing byes. 2nds and 3rds to play 22 games like the AFL and finals.

Great win for the Western Bulldogs,it shows you what good coaching and recruitment can do for you. To think we could of have the Bont. The Dees are a long way off from the Doggies they have better back up players than we do.Perhaps they have more experienced players which we often refer to when we don't win a certain or an amount of games.I think players want to play for coaches that had that Hawthorn coaching background. For players to get delisted it is either there fault or the club's fault or a bit of both,that's life. We have to improve our list.

Leehow,if we had a 1st round pick we could trade it for more later picks,keep it or pick up someone of value and since we don't seem to have many reserve players to step up to senior level we will struggle next year. We may very well make the eight next year and would be good. Where do you expect us to finish next year?
