  1. Hogan will be a floating forward/mid a bit like Buddy. Watts could do some ruckwork with main focus on forward pocket position. T.Smith probably start at FF.Vanders may get a run in the forward line. Weeds not ready yet for key role and may end up in a forward pocket. Pedo will struggle to get a senior game. Petracca with be a prolific forward.
  2. There is a god ( black or white or bicolored). He was never going to get a gig in the seniors with the talent we have on hand. Good luck to him.
  3. Tracca to be a minnie A.Jakovich, who kicks more goals than Hogan/Garlett combined. Hannah will be an instant success, Hunt to be renamed Flash Gordon due to his speed. Salem will dominate in the middle,he will be known as Salem's lot. The Maccas will rule the defence and most sides will be totally Maccered. Hogan will get a Buddy role floating down the ground. J.Smith will break into the seniors. T.Smith will be the starting FF. Weed will become ruck/Forward after round 5. Vince will end up going backwards.N.Jones will become a forward.Trengove will become a defender after round 7. Maynard will dominate at CHF for Casey.Frost to become a permanent Winger. We will end up 8th because we are the Dees with 13 wins. I will drink 30 bottles of Shiraz, more if we lose to trashy sides.
  4. Stats can be used to make sides look good or bad depends on how you present them. The clubs who finished below us have the so called superior mids then what led their team from finishing below us? Maybe champion data (crap) can rate all clubs in the forward and defence areas and the quality of the players on the bench, hairstyle of players to be included. It is time for another SHIRAZ.
  5. Hannan will be an asset in the foward line,we have better quality mids so there is no need to hang onto Newton.Grimes wasn't going to force anyone out of the senior side and given the fact no other team wanted him,McKenna being younger is a be a better option. Lets face not everyone on the senior list is going to get a regular game each week.Probably we will end up 8th or 9th on the ladder 2017
  6. Ozy…………. Interesting to see T.SMITH at F.F,he would have to be slightly in front of the Weed. I can see Hannan playing rd 1,Garlett may struggle to get a game.
  7. He is highly unlikely to get a senior match,he should retire.
  8. In veiw of the recent "kiddie draft" we didn't pick up a ruckman, having sais that we may get one in the rookie draft. If we don't get one Goodwin may have manufacture one out of our existng players which could be Watts or O.Mac or the Weed,Pedo at 193 cm is too short and not quick enough. The surviving King will take time to develop. My money is on the Weed,Spencer is lucky to survive the cull .
  9. There was a good reason that Collingwood let him go i.e too much trouble.
  10. Daisycutter, pick #978 would be a safer bet than H.L. This a a re run of the Yarram case.
  11. No offence to H.J, it is time for him to hang up his boots and that will give us a chance to recruit or upgrade someone else.
  12. Most of our test players and the the ones who were in the test side recently are performing badly at test and shield level. You cannot select players based on T20 or 50-50 form. The Big bash is one of the reasons why we cannot produce decent test players. We cannot seem to find a decent all rounder,S.Africa have produced Kallis and Pollock as all rounders and this seems to make a difference when playing in India. I would like to see the big bash scrapped and go back to the state sides playing T20. as this help pay wages for the players. Perhaps we nned to bring in an U21 squad to play shield matches. We also need pitches that can take spin thus replicating Indian pitches. Each shield side should have one all rounder which the side nominates and that person must bat at no.5 and bowl a minimum of 15 overs per innings.
  13. A jumper is jumper it doesn't matter what the changes are, thank goodness it is not a gold power ranger look.
  14. DeeSpencer, surely with the class of coaching staff, mind controllers etc we could turn Gach around,he didn't get pick by Essendon for no reason. Sometimes clubs have to think outside the square when recruiting.
  15. Gach got delisted by the bottom side that's probably due to the return of the drug squad. I am sure that he will prove a lot of people wrong that he will be able to cut the mustard. Majak Daw looked like his career was coming to an end when he was placed on the rookie list by the Kangas and yet he ended up with a 3 yr contract.
  16. Daisycutter, what I suggest is no more ridiculous than splitting the 18 teams into 3 groups and having each team play within a group. A team(who is in i.e 6th position) near the end of the comp can tank by ending up in 7th position then win all their matches in their group and have a better chance to end up in the top 4. There is nothing worst than clubs who cannot make the finals by sending players for surgery which otherwise would not occur. Bottom clubs have to play for something, they owe it to their paying supporters. Why not make it after round 12 those teams unable to make the 8 they are eliminated from any further action. I am sure there would be an outcry.
  17. The kid is worth trying,I actually don't care much about u tube clip regarding how a player perform. As long as the kid has heart and is determined.
  18. A weak draw like 2016 when we got to play one final 8 side twice.
  19. 13-18 teams should play off for the no.1 draft pick, this may put a stop to tanking and keep supporter interested in the comp. Alternative support womens team if the mens team goes to crap.
  20. We should pick up Gach despite his ciminal activities. Many other footballers have be given a second chance. Comparing him to another Sudanese in Majak Daw,this guy is roughly in the same mould but a few years younger. Alir Alir played finals in his first year with the Swans. We need another Ruck- Whatever and I am sure he will surpass our next best ruckman (Spencil).
  21. gach might be worth a rookie try as long as someone can improve his ways.
  22. No way,we have a dreadful away (home game) win/loss ratio.
  23. In a newspaper he wanted to leave GC for family reasons by returning to the cats, all he has to do is forego his 1mill per yr wage and then nominate for the draft. His old man and aunty plus cousins live in Drouin Victoria. To GC you dumb dumbs why waste money, his good days are long gone.
  24. We can afford to pick up a 30,30 plus experienced player, just for the insurance an can assist the younger players. A ruck/forward would be nice but we may have to pick up that player in the kiddie draft. Also we could do with another defender. We may also pick up another Brayshaw. Decisions, decisions!!!!!!
  25. I wouldn't be surprised to see Lumbumba retire. Spencer could nominate for pre season draft along with ANB.,if they want to get a better opportunity to play seniors.
