  1. I would imagine these clean ups are not unique to the Dees.
  2. Shoulder Operation: Clayton Oilver x 2 Aaron vandenBerg Jayden Hunt James Harmes Neville Jetta Knee Operation: Christian Petracca Mitch Hannan Ankle Operation: Jack Viney
  3. NIFTY NEV Neville Jetta is as solid a defender as he is a citizen. He had another consistent season terrorising opposition forwards, many of them taller than him, and was once again very unlucky not to gain All Australian honours. Date of Birth: 12 February, 1990 Height: 180cm Weight: 81kg Games MFC 2018: 24 Career Total: 140 Goals MFC 2018: 0 Career Total: 24 Votes 2018 Keith 'Bluey' Truscott Memorial Trophy: 383 votes (9th)
  4. IT JUST WASN'T CRICKET The former Australian Under 19 cricket captain took more than a season and a half to recover from a debilitating hamstring injury but his form on return couldn’t save him a spot on the list. Date of Birth: 12 August, 1996 Height: 186cm Weight: 85kg Games MFC 2018: 0 Career Total: 0 Goals MFC 2018: 0 Career Total: 0 CDFC Games 2018: 9 CDFC Goals 2018: 4
  5. NOT ENOUGH MUSIC TO THE EARS Josh Wagner had a solid start to the year taking part in the first five games but he fell out of favour with the selectors and spent the rest of the season playing mainly in defence at Casey. Date of Birth: 29 June, 1994 Height: 189cm Weight: 85kg Games MFC 2018: 5 Career Total: 28 Goals MFC 2018: 0 Career Total: 2 CDFC Games 2018: 15 CDFC Goals 2018: 1 Votes 2018 Keith 'Bluey' Truscott Memorial Trophy: 63 votes
  6. SON OF A GUN The high flyer was on the cusp of becoming a regular when a shoulder injury cut him down late in the season. The selectors had enough faith to give him a game in the Preliminary Final and he was among the better players on that day. Date of Birth: 25 February, 1996 Height: 191cm Weight: 87kg Games MFC 2018: 7 Career Total: 10 Goals MFC 2018: 0 Career Total: 0 CDFC Games 2018: 9 CDFC Goals 2018: 4 Votes 2018 Keith 'Bluey' Truscott Memorial Trophy: 71 votes
  7. DECLAN GETTING CLOSER Rookie Declan Keilty has been close to selection at Melbourne on a couple of occasions in the past two years but despite some solid displays in defence this year narrowly missed out on one of the more hotly contested key defensive positions, particularly after Jake Lever's injury. He will be back next year as a third year rookie and is likely to get his opportunity in the pre season games. 8. FAREWELL FLIPPER The young development ruckman from the Sandringham Dragons had two years at the club, both of which were interrupted by injuries. Unfortunately, he didn't do enough in his time at the club to be awarded a senior gurnesey and has now been delisted. Date of Birth: 29 August, 1998 Height: 200cm Weight: 92kg Games MFC 2018: 0 Career Total: 0 Goals MFC 2018: 0 Career Total: 0 CDFCDL Games 2018: 15 CDFCDL Goals 2018: 1
  9. With tonight’s 2018 Keith “Bluey” Truscott Medal Presentation, we will be marking the end of the football season - one of our club’s best in many years. And this is the perfect time for us to once again thank all those who have contributed to Demonland during the past season as well as all those who post here or simply visit and read without posting. We value your contributions and ongoing support - especially to Nasher who keeps us going on the technical side, to our moderators whose task is often thankless - a task that is never easy. Special thanks to our regular contributors, Whispering Jack, George on The Outer, The Oracle, JVM, KC from Casey, Grapeviney and Supermercado (my podcast co-presenters) and all others who have provided us with material and articles. Let's hope that 2019 will finally be the year that we break through and experience a Grand Final and Premiership flag. We also look forward to the another year of women's competition and hope a finals appearance there will be a prelude for later in the year. As always, we are on the look out for new contributors who have something to say about the mighty Demons. If you have the talent or simply want something to say about the club in article form, please contact me via PM. Cheers, thanks again and keep your eye on the red and the blue. Goodbye 2018. It was a fun ride. Bring on 2019.
  10. Only reason I'm happy the Eagles won. If Collingwood won we'd be hearing all about it from every bandwagon. The Eagles can celebrate as loud as they want in Perth.
