    If we have a full deck in the backline I'd like to see Joel Smith tried in the forward line. I know we played him there in the Prelim but I'd like to see him get a bit more game time up forward in a game where we're not getting smashed in.

    To be fair this has been labelled as a minor procedure and he is billed to be back on the track on Monday. Technically going under the knife is surgery but this procedure is not a knee reconstruction.

    Agree with this. He'll play as a forward, do some rucking in forward ruck situations such as ball ups deep in the forward line and throw ins. Might do some relief ruck work. No need to throw him to the wolves. He's a project player blessed to be learning the craft from Stafford and Max and as an understudy to Pruessy.
