2019 Player Reviews: #4 James Harmes
Harmes secured his second consecutive top-five Club Champion finish after another consistent year playing all 22 games in 2019. He played a valuable role for his side, often negating one of the opposition’s most damaging players and also showed an ability to win the ball averaging 24 disposals a game. Date of Birth: 5 October, 1995 Height: 185 cm Weight: 82 kg Games MFC 2019: 22 Career Total: 91 Goals MFC 2019: 12 Career Total: 56 Votes 2019 Keith 'Bluey' Truscott Memorial Trophy: 319 votes (fourth)

I wonder if we have given him a medical or if we're even at that stage. Presumably he still wants to be a Pie and will only entertain others once that ship has sailed in terms of him getting what he wants.

Until we have some success we’re going to have to pay overs to entice decent players. If we ever have sustained success we might even be able to entice elite players.

- 2019 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem
Salem had a great first half for the season but petered off a little at season’s end. He still managed seventh place in the Club Champion award. Played mainly in defence but was called on to take a number of roles as the season unfolded. I tend to agree. I think this whole thing has been driven by his management using clubs like Melbourne as the pawn to drive up the price/length of contract. If he does go and the Dees and Hawks have similar offers he’ll choose the Hawks. We’re not a destination club if the money isn’t too good to refuse.- Jamie Elliott

Can we please dispense with the personal attacks. Disagreement is fine but let’s just stop taking it out on each other. Last warning to all.- AFLW: Dees 2 New Irish Recruits

- 2019 Player Reviews: #2 Nathan Jones
Co-skipper Jones had less time in the engine room and played in a number of roles this year including wing and half back as he reached the twilight of his career. Showed that he still has the ability to impact the contest and played in every game for the season. Stood down as captain after six years in the role but promised to remain a leader at the club even without the title. Date of Birth: 20 January, 1988 Height: 180cm Weight: 87kg Games MFC 2019: 22 Career Total: 286 Goals MFC 2019: 8 Career Total: 138 Votes 2019 Keith 'Bluey' Truscott Memorial Trophy: 192 votes- 2019 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May
The former Gold Coast captain had limited impact in 2019. He was underdone early and missed matches due to injury and through suspension and managed only eight games in his debut season with the club. When he was up and about however, he showed some encouraging glimpses of what he can bring to the club when injury-free and with a full preseason under his belt.
