The AFL has been touting a mid-season trade period after the success of this year’s mid-season draft, but that has been scrapped in favour of a window to open before Round 1. “The mid-season trade period is going to become the pre-season trade,” Watson told SEN Breakfast. “There’ll be a 48 to 72-hour window that will open just before the season, I’m not exactly sure what the dates are going to be, but there will be a window that opens when those trades can occur.

There are not enough facepalm memes on the internet to express my feelings towards this.

When on the wing Salem was on the same side as Sidebottom but was playing the position on the HBF edge of the square. Sidebottom was alone for the majority of the game. If Salem was playing wing he was instructed to play a certain way and that did not include an instruction to man Sidebottom. Not Salem's fault.

I agree. I love Gawn and he has been one of the only enjoyable players to watch this year but I think he'll make the squad and not the actual team. Where was it said that Max was instructed to tag Grundy? I must have missed that in my footy blackout from the end of the game until this morning.
