  1. I am AI. Andy Intelligence.
  2. This might be due to the fact that I had to archive historical posts older than 7–8 years, as the database file had become too large and difficult to manage. Many of you have likely noticed ongoing site stability issues—lagging and slow loading times occurring at random, rather than during peak traffic as we used to experience after games in the past when the website would get slammed. I'm currently trying to get in touch with @Nasher for assistance in resolving these issues, but I haven’t had any luck so far. It's possible that the upcoming software update will help, as some third-party apps installed over the years may be contributing to the problem. Hopefully, the update will address these underlying issues.
  3. A major software update is coming, which will require all users to log in using their registered email address instead of their username whenever they are logged out. This is simply a login requirement—your email address will remain private. Once you're logged in, you won’t need to log in again unless you log out or access the site from a new device. This change appears to be a security measure, but it is a software update and not something I’ve personally chosen. Most website functions will remain the same, though there will be some cosmetic updates. Initially, all customizations (such as colors) will revert to the default look, but I’ll gradually restore them over time. Additionally, some third-party add-ons I’ve implemented over the years will no longer work immediately after the update. The site will essentially start fresh in that regard, and I’ll reintroduce features as I go. The most important thing is that all content will still be there and you will be able to post as normal which is the main feature of the site. All the rest is just cosmetic which I will play around with once the new software is installed. This upgrade is necessary because the current software is no longer supported, and it may bring improvements down the line. To ensure a smooth transition, please make sure your email address is up to date—this is important in case you ever need to recover your account.
  4. ChatGPT and other online AI often don't have up to date information or just collate and "extrapolate" from online articles. Sometimes it even straight up makes up information. I've tested it at times asking it to write a preview of the season or even a review of recent games. If it doesn't have the information sometimes it will provide false information rather than just say it can't due to lack of data.
  5. Assume there are tax implications/reasons for this? Or termination protections?
  6. There is something funky happening with Twitter links not displaying correctly. It is only happening some of the time and I don't know if it is a twitter thing or a site thing. There is a major update coming to the site software soon and I am hoping some of these kinks that have recently started will be ironed out.
  7. Apologies. By the time I sat down to start recording, I realized that several of my programs needed updates. On top of that, I had to reconnect my mixer and reconfigure the audio settings on both my computer and laptop. Just when I thought I was ready, my mixer unexpectedly forced a software update, which meant adjusting my audio settings all over again—this time within multiple programs. To make matters worse, I had to reset my Skype password to take calls, and the two-factor authentication was a nightmare. It was linked to an email account for which I didn’t have the password saved on this computer, so I had to guess from four options—almost having to reset that one too. After finally getting everything up and running, I forgot to hit play on the stream. When I finished recording, I discovered that the audio file from my mic’s channel had been corrupted. Fortunately, I had some backups, but the sound quality isn’t great. It was the tech equivalent of a failed fitness test—looks like I’ll have to wait another week before making my return to the seniors.
