Which deal is better for the Dees???

Featured Replies

As just reported on the news, and who knows what's true and what's not. I'm just guaging everyones thoughts of what they think is a better deal. First one is:

Johnstonee to Brisbane

Wood to Collingwood

Pick and Rhys Shaw to the Dees

Second one:

Or Pick 20 and a player from eagles. Which brings me to the last question what player would you want along with pick 20 from the eagles?

i'd do the pick 14 and rhys shaw deal

but if it was pick 20 and a player from eagles, i'd take someone like a Jaymie Graham

I'm skeptical about the WC one being legitimate, but probably the Collingwood one. I really do not like Rhyce Shaw, but in spite of the way he looks, he actually seems to be a decent bloke.

As for the question, Pick 20 and Beau Waters and no less.

St kilda want a ruckmen and have pick 9 why not convice brisbane to deal with them, the sainters might even throw someone like Mqualter (however u spell it) into the deal aswell.

From the eagles?

I would take Beau Waters+pick 20 for trapper.

Or if they were game, Darren Glass+pick 20 for Trapper.

Doubt they would move either players, but they can both defend and god knows we need some bloody defenders!

Jaymie Graham is far more realistic in that deal...and hes a a tall backman..what we want..plus we get pick 20

yess this sounds good...id take pick 20 and Ben Mckinley from WC for Trapper for sure and i thinks thats very realistic.... u listening CAC?

Glass? Good thing Hannabal isn't around or he'd be wondering what substance your abusing.

Beau Waters would be good, I reckon. He's got a bit of mongrel about him, he's big, he's young, and he's got some skills. I would take Pick 20 + Waters over Pick 14 and Rhyce Shaw.

they wouldnt trade beau waters!!!geez get realistic people

Dare to dream, Mini-Chief, dare to dream.

Unfortunately we can't play WC and Brisbane off against each other very easily, because of the Brisbane deal being 3-way. Otherwise I reckon if WC were genuinely interested, we could snag Waters.

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

With just over two weeks until their opening match of the 2026 AFL Premiership season, the Demons are already well on the path to redemption and have the Saints firmly in their sights ahead of their mid-March clash at the MCG. What do you think the team will look like when they run out on to the G?

  • REPORT: Richmond

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.
