Click on the link above and it will take you straight to the article on the afl website regarding each clubs philosphy on trade week and drafting.

If we're looking at trading players for picks it appears Port Adelaide are quite keen. However, they do have a very late first round pick.

Also, it seems Sydney are keen to trade but also want to keep their first round pick.

Most clubs seem to want to keep their picks for the draft. I'm starting to think that this draft isn't as weak as everybody makes it out to be, rather that it is just very even and hard to judge. Meaning, CAC could pull soemthing golden late. ala Bartram

it seems like we'll be trading for some extra draft picks, which seems very logical. we need to bring in around 7-8 draftees this year with all the retirments and delistings, so it would be great to have a couple of extra picks...

look for us to trade Miller (pick25-50), Jamar (pick25-50), Johnstone (pick10-20), C.Johnson & Ferguson (if someone wants them...unlikely).

young guyz who fill holes in our team for me would be (in order of preference):

a) Ryan Murphey- fills key forward post

B) John Meeson- fills future ruck option

c) Brent Prissmal- young midfield option

d) Ben McKinley- median/small forward option

e) Amon Buchnan- midfield option

f) Justine Sherman-tall midfielder option

any of these youngster would be great imo...i wouldnt touch anyone over 25 and i wouldnt be even discussing touching our number1 pick unless it means we get Judd (not gonna happen).

pick 4 saved for Cotchin,Palmer or Morton (whoever is still available)

Pleased to see that CAC is after more draft picks. I would quite happily take Port's first round pick, even if it is 15 or 16.

Interesting comment on the draft as well; that it may be hard to read. Let's hope you're right and we can bag a diamond out of the rough.

"if we could trade in a player who is in that 23 or under age bracket that helps us in a specific area, then we'd like to do that too"

This worries me because i think trading players under 23 is very risky. Unless its Sylvia, CJ or Warnock, i dont see the advantage of trading young players

By "trade in" he means get a player from another club not trade one of ours. Hopefully he is looking at murphy so we have a future spine of

newton

murphy

meeson

Rivers

Frawley

Hopefully frawley can take the second best forward and free up Rivers to take the 3rd best next season

Didn't it say in the Herald Sun that Damon White was a chance.

I would much rather Ryan Murphy.

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
