During the frenzy of the Chris Judd issue, I have been spending time on BigFooty searching for any news....

They have a post on there that is telling everyone that Chris Mainwaring has died of a heart-attack!!!

If this is true then it is a shockin' story!

The bloke was a great footballer and was only 41 yrs old with a young family..... Apparently he has been doing some fantastic motivational speaking since his retirement.....

    This is really sad. I admit that, in my formative years (4-6 years old), I hadn't real chosen a club, and had not yet been indoctrinated by Dad, so I followed WCE because they were winning at the time (92-94). Mainwaring was one of my favourite players. Those flowing blonde locks were unmissable. 41 is way too young.
