Yeah drop Buckley, farkin great youth policy that is...

No Bode, no Buckley...

I'm all for making sure the kids aren't doing it on their own, but jeeeeeeezus....

As a club we really only have ourselves to blame. And the thing is that if we want Sheedy, we can't get him NOW to take over.

Why would you elevate bode if your not going to play him?

Sounds like some more money wasting to me.

I'm sure he'll get his chance, still another 4 rounds to go, but fark me just wake me up when this season ends! Excuse the pun, but it's a living hell! No backup ruck either, wtf are the selection panel on!?

Bucks is an emergency. I've heard a whisper that a player listed in the starting 18 might not come up. So my guess is Bucks will still play.

robbo?

One ruckman AGAIN?

Welcome back to seasons 2000-2005

P.S.- Ward over Buckley/Bode/Dunn... amazing.

Madness i noticed that you called the swans the scones.

Would you or somebody else be able to put a list up of all the teams eg filth for collingwood

Thanks. :)

y the fark dont they play the kidz.

even if the arent as big contributers than holland, ward, brown and co., they should not be ahead of buckley, dunn, garland, bode.

playing young players in the firsts fast-tracks their development. our season is over and riley wont take advantage. he is shite

Didnt you know, we are employing a youth policy...

Oh wait, that would mean youth would actually need to be playing... <_<

Go Dees - Onward and Upward

As i tried to explain the team to my daughter I realised I was getting more and more upset.

There is absolutely no logic to what they are doing.

One ruckman. And the one ruckman they don't need to practice any further with this year. Dumb.

Robbo at CHF. Its never worked and it never will. Dumb.

Don't play the kids. Dumb.

Newton starting on the bench. Yeah that makes sense. Dumb.

The first thing Sheedy will do will sack everyone involved in these selections.

Connolly would probably promote them.

How long till the cricket season?

Carna bloods for the rest of this season.

How long till the cricket season?

Nov 8, Aus v SL @ Bris

Yes its sad that I know that.

20 20 world cup in September

Heyyyyyyyyyyyy, completely forgot about that one!

Looking forward to some more Haydos magic (if he makes the team that is)

same bloody selectors for the 20-20 world cup

refuse to pick on form, instead going for 'reputation'.

David Hussey should almost be the first selection and doesn't even make the team.

Brown, Ward, Holland, Godfrey, Carroll, Ferguson and Pickett.

Would any of these guys get a game right now for any other team?

I think not.

This is the worst Melbourne forward line I have ever seen, Neitz is virtually useless (injuries) and Robo is just as bad (probably injuries as well), so we have to rely on a kid who's played 4 games....ffs, no wonder we're 2nd last. If we're goint to suck then we might as well get some game time into some of our kids, instead of giving games to has beens who sould be delisted at the end of the year.

We are top heavy in our back half and will get run off our feet.

Poor selection again..... Bode should off got a game

Brown, Ward, Holland, Godfrey, Carroll, Ferguson and Pickett.

Very harsh on Carroll, but otherwise, spot on.

Not a clue what Riley and his men are doing. Surely we already know what these players give us, so why are we flogging a dead horse?

if were developing for next year then we would be playing all our youngsters.

reality is, the only real unestablished youngsters in the team are newton and Frawley!

other young players like bate, moloney, davey, bell, mclean and jones are in our best 18 players anyway so playing them is a given.

if riley was serious about developing our list as he claims, then he would be playing buckley, dunn, garland, CJ, PJ and even bode.

until these players are in the seniors, then riley is not putting the MFC club first. instead he is putting himself first by giving ward and brown games.

HE IS SELFISH!

Robbo at CHF. Its never worked and it never will. Dumb.

Doesn't matter where they're listed in the paper. Doubt Robbo will play too far out, given that he seems unfit.

No Robbo...went to training today..No Robbo, No Bode

I guess with Carroll he is the best we have to play FB.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
