Rhino, I'd think that Wardy's disposal is not bad enough to downgrade the importance of his speed. But we may disagree.

Can't kick, terrible decision making, doesn't man up, ill cry if he is on our list next year.

He's been playing some good footy of late.

Sometimes our perceptions of players don't necessarily reflect how they're going, and moreso what we've seen in the past.

I thought he's been more accountable.

bizz has played well the last few weeks .. played better than i thought he would if he keeps playing like this i would want him to stay for another season with us...

so Ryan Ferguson escapes your cut Rhino. interested to hear why.

Biz didn't look too old when he took that hanger in the dying minutes of yesterday's game.

That hanger was a great mark.

Go BIZZ.

Surely Ferg is gone.

At this stage he will probably stay, there is supposedly no depth in the draft this year. I think Ward, Wheatley and Godfrey's form has been good enough to survive another year. Brown is ify and Holland, Pickett, Neville and Ferguson are gone. C.J could be in trouble. Jamar, Miller and maybe a few big names like Green and Johnstone up for trade.

I just think Ward's capacity to turnover especially when he has run a broke the lines just punishes us on the rebound.

He played above himself against Essendon the other week.

Kbj, good pick up. I listed them on the fly.

Realistically we could axe six off the list....Add Ferg.

If we cut six, it commits us to potentially taking one in the PSD if there is value.

If we cut five, then Ward in and Ferg goes.

I just wonder what benefit you get from going so deep in the draft barrel around No 75+ in the draft.

If you can cut a deal for either Miller or Jamar...I'd take it.

While I dont know about Green, I think TJ would have some value out there.

Unless its different from past years, not much has really gone through in trade week. So I am not holding my breath.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
