Lampy is here, rehabbing. She said she should be right by round 7. It’s her calf but it’s not too serious.

Great to see Tahls running. She’s progressing well. As is Jacinta. Last Friday she ran without incident and it was clearly her first time in a while since everyone got around her, much cheering and clapping.

The girls’ flush runs are like their captain’s runs… no messing around. Not a sch!tt nor a giggle in sight. Except for before and after, and then it’s hella fun 🤩

How is Maeve? Bit worried about her elbow, I think, from late in the match.

She trained as normal. No strapping anywhere. As is often the case, she was one of the last off the field.

Three absentees today (who aren’t on the injury list): Ryleigh, Gabby and Radar.

Hope that's the case for Lampy. Jacinta, bit of a forgotten player! Hopefully gets a good go at it in 2026.

In case anyone (besides @Timothy Reddan-A'Blew and me) has ever wondered why Edo always tucks her guernsey into her shorts… I have the answer to the burning question!

She says it’s so no one can grab and pull at her jumper in play. She then said she’d demonstrate what she means. She grabbed at Banno’s waist/hip and pulled at her jumper, easily stopping her and effectively controlling her movement (along with scaring the carp outta her coz she didn’t know she was part of the demo). She got Banno to do the same to her and whaddya know? It’s true! Banno had nothing to grab at.

So now I’ve gone from wondering why the fashion fail to thinking they should all tuck their jumpers into their shorts 😁

Yes! I've always noticed she does that and wondered why, and the only reason I could think of was that it would make it harder to grab hold of her jumper. But I thought if that was the case why weren't more players doing the same?

So one mystery resolved, but another one raised...... 🤣

My mission should I choose to accept it (and we all know I will) is to find out why other players aren’t doing the same. 😅

I’ve also noticed Edo’s jumper is like a second skin. I’m guessing that’s a conscious choice for the same reason.

  • AFLW REPORT: West Coast

Melbourne’s response to last week’s heartbreak was emphatic, as the Demons delivered a statement win over West Coast at a windswept Casey Fields. All of the pre-match hype surrounded the coach’s box matchup of Mick Stinear up against his apprentice, Daisy Pearce along with the gloomy weather forecast. In the end, it was less about tactical chess and more about Melbourne’s relentless execution. With rain looming, the DeeArmy and early birds snapped up the best undercover viewing spots.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.
