I thought I knew the names of most ovals that AFL is played on around the country. But where is Thomas farm oval?

Also hope Hore is OK, she is so important to us.

Just watched the post match chat with Shae Sloane, and she said while she hadn't yet spoken with the medical staff she had spoken to Kate who was laughing and in good spirits, so she didn't seem too worried.

Hopefully when Kate cools down, and when she wakes up tomorrow morning, it will still be good news!

Stop looking, it is the new name for the Unley oval where Sturt plays in the SANFL.

Only saw the last several minutes, seems I missed the best of it! Bit of a scrap fest, but we were at least dominating territory at that stage.

I pretty much heard them say "Kate Hore hobbling off" as soon as I switched it on, so yeah. That's probably my fault for thinking as I did so, "Don't care about the score, just no more injuries to talls!"

As Craig says though, Kate was at least having a laugh, according to Shae Sloane, post match here:

AFLW practice match Highlights: Melbourne v Adelaide

The Demons and Crows clash in the AFLW practice matches

I'd be keen to hear from those who watched if there was anything that stood out in terms of prospects for Round 1. Are we thinking O'Hehir debuts?

From the scoreline alone, as Dees fans, we must rejoice in the straight kicking.

It’s Game Day and the Demons have made the long trip west to take on Fremantle tonight at Optus Stadium. Can Melbourne make it two from two to start the season, and what are you hoping to see from the Dees under the lights in Perth?

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Night’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.

The compromised AFL fixture will get another test this week with the first lot of teams getting a bye after only two matches. Despite this Round 2 starts off with two cracking games as the Hawks host the Swans at the G on Thursday Night and then on Friday Night the Crows host the Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?
