trade Miller while he holds some allure ...for god knows what reason...to someone. Yes maybe he might fit a round hole on some other teams teamshett coz he's just a square peg in our s !! just a reality.

Anyone who considered Miller a possible captain at anytime needs to have a good think about what captaincy is really all about.. he was never on any real list surely!!

Try as he may..he just doesnt add anything of any real value to the teams performance. Not enough nouse to play back... no goal sense to play forward.. unsuited to middle.. Call me daft ( as many will ) there just isnt a spot for him. Was prepared to aloow him time to grow into some possie ( big of me huh ) ...but he's simply failed. why cant some get their heads arond this..its nothing personal..its just business..Football business..the business of winning.

But wait there's more...he's not alone. Others will simply 'retire' or be convinced to do so. Some will simply pester the list til they do. Then we have a very awkward situation with players like Moloney. Yes by all means give him another year to come good ( hey its not smy money!! ) then if he hasnt come up...like a racehorse ( no..nt suggesting shooting ) just put to pasture. The cold hard reality ...is players on on the list to play, if for WHATEVER reason this isnt happening then they must make way, thats just what has to happen.

IMO we need a huge clean out and need to rebuild, our list doesn't have enough depth and has too many players hitting 30 and beyond. If we want to keep up with the future , with clubs like the hawks, carlton etc. we must rebuild or our premiership drought will continue. We can't just have a one year bomb out, like the bombers have. We already have a great bunch of younsters coming through, but at the moment our spine isn't very strong.

I reckon if we want to win a flag we must delist/trade those players who some people think are good, but actually aren't e.g Miller, Godfrey, Ferguson, Holland, Ward, Brown etc. We will/should pick up someone in the draft at 1,2 or 3 this year and next year if we bomb out and get ourselves a priority pick we will have 2 players in the top 5. With the help of CAC and perhaps a new coach we will/should be able to win a flag.

Just quietly, I think the other 15 AFL list management guys are going to read your post and discover that - surprisingly for them - guys like Godfrey and Miller aren't that good :P

Thus we're not going to get much in trades.

I agree with you re: our young kids - both that they look good and that we lack some bankable KPP options for the future.

Yeah that is the reality, but hopefully we can build up some trade value for those 'fringe' type players.

And lets hope those other 15 AFL list management guys don't discover my post

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
