Geischen reckons these guys are purely ball focused, clearly believing them to be premier players of the comp - "Where you've got Simon Black, Gary Ablett, Robert Harvey, Brent Harvey, McLeod, Thomas, Burgoyne, Judd, Kerr, all those pure ball players are often the subject of very close checking."

i want to know which [censored] thomas he is talking about? Dale Thomas? Lindsay Thomas? Matt Thomas?

what chance of the umps got when their boss is that stupid? as much as richmond i'd say

i reckon that statement goes a long way to demonstrating the umpiring inconsistancy. if the umpires are directed that some players are ball players and some hold on and some push in the back and some get held every week, how can the umpire make an impartial call on the action in front of him.

it is different if say a player approaches an ump and says , hey mate he is holding onto me, but if the umps are directed to protect the 'ball players' mentioned above, what are the chances they will get more free kicks than others who arent protected?

I think the fame brought about by the release of his memoirs a couple of years ago must have gone to his head.
