Danny Hughes Review

Featured Replies

Hey denomlanders,

I have been intersate for 6 weeks and I was wondering how Hughes has been playing/training?

Any chance of senior selection soon.

I actually watched him in the Wizard Cup match against Hawthorn from a pub in Airlie Beach and was relatively impressed with him performance.

Keep me posted.

Thanks.

my impression was that last week was his first game back?

one maybe two weeks in the two's then he will be back into the Sandy seniors.

He's played 2 games in the Sandy reserves after coming back from injury and is on the extended interchange bench for the seniors this week.

I think Hughesy would need a miracle to play in the red and blue this season. If ever there was a time, it would be now. He is on the road back from and injury, and by the time his form is ripe, the dees should have filled some of the gaping holes in their lineup, making selection for danny very unlikely.

If the dees keep going along these lines, and finish bottom 4, the club will take the broom through some old wood, and rebuild some younger talent. That might be a good thing for Danny- age is on his side.
